We celebrated our anniversary in St Augustine and chose Castle Gardens for our stay and it was a wise choice, we had the best time and Bruce was GREAT, you have to try the pancakes they were amazing. I couldn’t believe how close we were to everything we never used our car the whole time we were there and yet we were far enough away that it was peaceful and quiet, we plan on going back next year and we definitely plan on staying at Castle Gardens, Good Job Bruce, see you next year

Poor 2.0
THE WORST PLACE TO STAY IN ST. AGUSTIN
We stayed there about 5 minutes because the conditions were the worst. There was not even blind on the windows. Parking on the street. That was the worst experience for us, specifically in Anniversary day. We will never recommend it, no even to my worst enemy. And to complete this, we lose our money.

A quaint St. Augustine Stay!
Had a good stay. The building is 100 plus years old and has the look, feel, & charm. Bruce is cordial and friendly and tends to your every need. He also makes a great breakfast, especially his pancakes. The Castle garden is central to everything, literally walking distance to the Fort, Ripley's Museum, Old Town, Ghost Tours. A great place to stay for that St. Augustine feel!

Great location
This is a nice little gem in St. Augustine. The price is great and the location is perfect. We only stayed for a night but will definitely be back again.

Great Location
The room I had was small, it was fine for a solo traveler. The location was great if you like to walk. Close to St. George Street, which has many shopping and dining choices.

A Marginally Acceptable B&B in a Great Location
Room wasn't ready (because maid failed to show up). Although we had a private bath, we had to go out into the hall to access it. Couldn't print a coupon because printer was broken. French toast was tasty, but breakfast was minimalist, and they'd run out of milk. The bed was comfortable, but the best thing going for this place was its great location. WiFi worked okay. Owner was nice enough, but he was overworked and basically seemed permanently overextended. We would not return.

Perfect Historic Inn
Great room, breakfast, garden, hospitality, and beautiful Christmas decorations. Thank you, Bruce, for sharing the history of your place—it made for an even greater appreciation of your home’s authenticity. It’s eclectic and “antiquey.” Love the creaky floor boards and bed. Enjoyed the whirlpool tub and used a soothing bath bomb from Bath Junkie on Hypolita Street. Super clean—our pet peeve is not having a clean shower/tub only to discover stranger’s hairs here and there. Walking distance to everywhere. Travelers tip: its best to book book direct. This isn’t a Hilton, folks. Please understand that this is a historic B&B and if you want fancy, go somewhere else and don’t waste the owner’s time. Bruce (the owner) really cares about making his guests happy. See if the Hilton cares about you. P.S. Bruce makes great breakfasts, and though most rave about the pancakes, my vote is for the French toast.
