A lovely little oasis
This is a large hotel complex. One building is near the highway, there are 2 other buildings set back for a little more quiet. Our room was in the back - one level motel type room - but the room was nice and large. Larger than a regular room, I think. We had 2 full sized beds. The mattresses weren't high quality but they were comfortable enough. The linens on the beds were very old but clean. The little table they had in the room was broken/falling apart but still worked well enough. The bathroom was fine. It had only a shower (not a tub) and we had what we needed. There was a sliding glass door on the back side with a cute little grassy area. We threw the doors open to let the room air out. It had a heavy air freshener smell and our family doesn't do well with perfumes. Basically It's just old and tired. I think the owners are a family who are trying hard to make it a pleasant stay, though. There are a couple tennis courts on the property, and a short little trail down to a lovely little private beach for the hotel guests. I asked the front desk about travel directions and she was quite helpful.

Not the best, but good
Hotel staff was a little disorganized. Website reads there was a bar and ocean view, however, there was neither. Not the best, yet we will stay again.

Only good for the location
The room was very dirty and run down. There were many things that were broken in the room. When we told the front desk about the everything that was broken and dirty they were very rude and said "you should have told us about this when you checked in." Unfortunately we checked in and left to meet our family before checking the room out. On a positive note, There was a nice private beach and the location is right between Fort Bragg and Mendocino.

Would never recommend this place. We actually were not able to stay and had to find a different place to stay. When driving up, it looked like a cute place, but the front office was closed. We tried calling multiple times, rang a few times then went to VM, sat for about 10 minutes, and even drove around the building hoping to get someone's attention. When we called the next morning, we were given the excuse that they didn't have our number to call us to confirm (since it's a small location), although the phone number was provided with the reservation. Then they admitted that they heard the phone ring, but was unable to answer it, and that they saw us drive around the building, but still made no effort to get our attention. Never again.

Blast from thenpast
Run down resort in great location. Feels like 70is leftover. Forget about playing tennis there the net and fences are missing or damaged. Was only good for a overnighter since nothing else available
