Family NYC short break between Xmas & new year
Overall we had a nice stay, the hotels location was convenient and easily accessible. The staff were excellent and the breakfast served was fresh and an ideal breakfast to start the day. The only downside - for the money we spent, I would have expected a slightly larger room especially considering we were a family of two adults and two children. That said I am fully aware that we stayed at a very popular time of year & the price to stay increases with it. The hotel itself is quite dated and and could do with a lick of paint or a freshen up.

Pleasant hotel
Hotel is centrally located for mid town. Ive seen bad reviews regarding the lift and breakfast. We never had to wait long for the lift and it was only crowded at peak times. We stayed for a week and only had issues getting seated for breakfast once, even then we only had to wait a couple of minutes. The breakfast was varied and tasty with both cold and cooked options. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. My family particularly enjoyed the waffles. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel does what it says on the box it si a room with a bed and coffee and wifi. Breakfast ok not 5 Star but it is more than most in New York. Staff are A1 in particular the cleaning and reception staff thanks to all of you. The local leaves a bit to be desired. The R cafe opposite is ok but the battling street people not so nice

Walking distance to Penn Station
My third visit to this hotel mostly because of its proximity to Penn Station rather than anything else. The hotel is looking a little run down, but for a not too expensive New York hotel it is perfectly fine. And being a Hampton Inn, breakfast is included which is a rare treat for the US.

From the welcome, through the good nights' rest (thanks to being on the top floor!), to the varied and free breakfasts, this Hampton Inn lived up to our expectations, having stayed in several before. We would not hesitate in recommending this hotel!

NYC stay
This was our anniversary trip and my husband had never been to New York before. The breakfast was fantastic and service great. The only tiny grumble we had was that there was an ice machine outside our room door that made a lot of noise at all hours...but we didn't complain about it as we were only there for three nights and didn't want to have to move room, so we didn't give anyone a chance to fix the problem. Wonderful stay and will come again.

My husband and I spent 4 nights here last week, I chose this hotel because of the reasonable cost, good reviews and location. I was very pleased I chose this hotel as everything was great. The staff on reception were all extremely friendly and helpful and would always greet us with a warm smile and chat when we came back in after a long day in the city. Although the room was quite small (which I was expecting anyway) we found it adequate for our needs. The rooms are also basic with no frills, but again, this suited us as we didn’t need the frills! Breakfast was better than I expected and had plenty there to start the day, the breakfast staff was also very efficient and kept it running smoothly as it gets busier the later into breakfast time you go. The lifts were a bit frustrating as they took some time to arrive and didn’t move very fast either, as we were only on the next level up from the reception we would have preferred to go up stairs, but there’s not an accessible staircase from reception. I have been to New York before and paid $200 more a night for a room, yes the room was bigger and more luxurious, yes the hotel condition was more updated, but overall I would much sooner save the $800 for our 4 night trip as there’s no need to spend it. This hotel was everything we needed and we would definitely recommend it.
