Short stay near Reykjavík
Nice hotel at a decent price and a short drive to the city centre. Matresses a bit soft to my taste, otherwise convenient and confortable.

I was only there for one night, as a stop over from New York. Wish I had booked two nights now, as I didn’t get to do all that I want to do there. So I will be back. Found the design of the hotel really cool. I love ikea and the Scandinavian design. It had that feel about it 👍 Very friendly service too 👌

Functional, does the job
As a first time visitor to Iceland this hotel was perfectly functional (but expensive) for what’s required. We paid for a superior room but was allocated a standard double - which was basic and adequate. The management apologised & altered the bill on check out. It was no surprise to discover that the food and drink was pricey, all reviews warn that. The Sunday Brunch Buffet was excellent, although it was difficult to secure a table as locals had them booked. The staff were brilliant, particularly the tour desk who helped with absolutely everything. They have their hands full re-booking the oft cancelled Northern Lights trips but know all the tour operators. Tour buses pull up to the front door but it’s a lottery whether you are first or last on pick up /drop off. This can add an hour to your tour. There’s a local bus into town every 30mins across the street (free if you ask the hotel) In conclusion it was expensive for what you get but so are most of the hotels in town.

Dont waste your money
Definitely not a four star hotel, 3 star at a push. Very poor customer service. Just to not get room cleaned one day and in return got a discount voucher for the resteraunt which was expensive but nice. But from they on they decided not to clean the room again. When complaining about this they became very rude and defensive. We explained that we would be happy if we could just have some fresh towels at least as it was late at night after being on a trip all day. They agreed that they would bring us some to the room and needless to say they never turned up. For the price of the stay i would definitely not recommend this hotel. It was more a travelodge standard with poorer customer seevice.
