Budget motel a stones throw from the A26. On site secure parking but rooms looking tired overall. TV had little or no signal but wifi good. Don’t expect bells and whistles!

Good value
Good value overnight stay with a basic, sufficient buffet breakfast. Dinner was well presented and with a reasonable choice, the spelt risotto with green vegetables was fresh and tasty. Rooms were clean and tidy, only issue was the bathroom door didn’t close properly.

Not a nice surprise the next morning!!
Not quite what we expected in more ways than other. Hotel was more US motel style of property. Car park was small and very tight to park. Reception in a separate building and had to go from one building to another. Area seemed quiet and in a residential area. Was quite dark with little lighting as arrived at about 10.45pm. Our rooms were at the back of the building and had to use steps to get to the next level and was raining. No cover to the steps so you got wet easily as it was raining hard. No lift as only ground and first floor. Next morning had the shock of our life. Returned to our car and found a migrant stow away in our boot. No idea how long he was there or how he got in. Kept saying I was going to GB and must take him. I politely told him to get out of my car as I wasn’t going to GB. He quickly left. Totally freaked my wife and kids out. Didn’t expect that to happen. In all I wouldn’t stay or recommend that hotel again. Staff nice, but not the sort of hotel we would stay at. I think Calais isn’t really our cup of tea to stay again. Next time will stay further away, as less likely to get migrants trying to get to the UK in our vehicle. The hotel staff even said it’s happened before, so enough said there then!!

Great little spot for an overnight stay in Calais
Easy to find and access. Arrived at 2pm and were able to access rooms immediately. Rooms were little tired but very clean, warm and very comfortable. Good little restaurant attached with choice and good value. Excellent safe parking. Will stay there again

What spoilt our stay this time was tv sound from the neighbouring room after midnight. The previous stay in the spring was spoilt by a loud clanging noise every twenty minutes. When i complained at the desk the receptionist pretended she could not understand english. She was not happy to receive a complaint.
