El Ameyal Hotel & Family Suites

Good value for the price. Felt clean and had great service. The downside is it very noisy. There was music playing across the street until 4am that was so loud I thought it was coming from the unit next door and there is a lot of road noise too. They also ran out of clean pool towels when I went to use the pool.

We stayed 17 days. Overall we were pleased. The hotel is old, but staff keep it very clean & the grounds very well groomed. Loved the pool, used it daily. There was staff at the front desk that spoke English & were very helpful anytime we had questions. Cleaning/Maintenance staff did not speak much English but were always friendly. We liked our suite, the beds were very comfy, had a nice view of the courtyard & pool area and there were 2 English TV channels out of Seattle. The two things that were really bad was their gym (they need to remove the pictures as it does not look anything like they represented it); and their wifi - it was on/off-on/off the whole time, if you were lucky enough to be there when it was working, you could use the internet. . For us the walk to Walmart or downtown was easy, but we enjoy walking all year round. There were at least 4 or 5 good restaurants (2 of them authentic Mexican) within walking distance and a laundromat. It is outside of the downtown nightly party area, so quiet. (It is on the main highway, but traffic noise has never bothered us. A pair of good ear plugs will solve that issue if traffic noise bothers you). I would recommend it, we were happy there! We thought it was great value for the price we paid!

I stayed at the Riu for a week and decided to stay one more day and found the room to be close and reasonably priced. It was a great final day to relax without all of the people around. Very nice bed and the towels were even soft..

Rooms are big and comfy only wish there green areas where better manicured
