Euro hostel amazing stay
Had a brilliant stay here and was delighted with my bunk room as soon as I got there! Loved the little Sink on the left to the doorway and then a lovely little table and chair in between the 2 sets of bunk beds. Love how easy it is to get around and so close to the train station too!! Also the cafe bar downstairs is amazing and had a lovely time both in the evening and morning enjoying yummy food including a delicious buffet breakfast yay! Cant wait to come back again soon :)

Very good 8.0
Great room. Rude awakening.
Nice, easy check in. Helpful staff on the desk. Room was just what I would hope for. Very clean and tidy and functional. Not impressed with the maintenance guys who sang and whistled and clanked tools on the corridors outside by room at 8.30am.That was a rude awakening. They very nearly got told. Because of them, I really would think hard about whether I stayed again.

Good 6.0
I have stayed in several hostels in Edinburgh and Glasgow, this was my first stay at Eurohostel, I was only staying for a 1 night lay-over. This was the most basic hostel so far. The foyer is modern looking, and the pub/bar is good. The reception staff were helpful as much as could be, but not all that knowledgable or able to problem solve. The room (4-bed mixed room) was clean with a private shower and toilet. The room was hot, despite the window being open, and no airflow/AC. Each bunk has a handy charging port and light with plugs, USB charge port, wireless charging and a light...except my bunk (only 3 out of 4 bunks in the room had it). A big issue- there are no lockers in the room for your valuables. Anything left in the room is open to everyone with access to the room. This needs to be sorted, as could be sharing with complete strangers from all over the world. Trust is very important, but I’m sure most of us want to keep somethings private! The kitchen closes early (10:30pm), so no access to hot food/drinks for midnight snacking after then, though there are vending machines in the common room. The meals in the attached pub are nice and at a reduced rate for hostel guests, and a great meal&pint deal. Overall reasonable, basic, and in need of finishing with charging points and lockers, but OK.
