Very bad customer service experience
First arrived & was given wrong room. Went back to reception and got given no apology. The guy who was changing my room didn’t speak and seemed very annoyed and unfriendly. He just gave me my key card and told me the room number. Got too my room and the mini bar was empty. Nothing inside it. No plugs beside bed also. When checking out no one asked how my stay was or said thanks or goodbye. Overall I was appalled by the customer service in this hotel. Especially the guy at night who was changing my room.

Exceptionally helpful staff, nice room with a slightly odd layout. Downside is reception had to man the bar late in the evening and the parking was £18 a night which was a shock as I don’t recall it being made obvious when you booked the Hotel.

Decent hotel. Room was basic, beds were comfy. We had a family room. Weird that the toilet was seperate from the bath, shower and sink. But overall a pleasant stay. Breakfast buffet was excellent. All food was hot and fresh. One hot drinks machine was annoying, queques for coffee seemed illogical for a Novotel. Hotel should consider adding a second machine or doing coffee and tea service themselves to avoid complaints from guests. Location very good. Close to train station, DLR and buses. Try to avoid train side of hotel if you're a light sleeper...just fyi. Didn't bother me, but could bother some. WiFi was fast and parking on site was an extra bonus for this hotel. Reasonable parking fee for an overnight stay.

My stay
We stayed here because it was close to the station as me and my boyfriend went to a concert. When we got to the hotel we was greeted really well by the staff and they were very helpful. When we got to the room it was okay, we have stayed in other Novotel hotels and this one didn’t have that much of the standards of the other ones we have been too but it was okay for the night. The room could of done with new paint as the walls were very Scratched and marked up and it was difficult to watch the tv and would of been better if it was on the wall in front of the bed and not in the corner. Overall it was good stay and the breakfast is very good, I would come again but only if the rooms were more comfortable and nicer looking if I was staying more then one night.
