    4/5 Star Hotel but 2 Star service.

    A Stunning Venue for a very nice Hotel, Rooms were spacious, comfortable and a wonderful view from the Sea View room over the bay, Breakfast was also extremely good, lots of variety from Fruit, Continental Breads ans Cakes to almost a full English. But........ For a Hotel of this stature the Service left a lot to be desired, we arrived back at the hotel after a day out and decided to lay by the excellent outdoor pool and have a drink. No waiter service by the pool. I walked up to the Bar and pressed the bell to order a drink, a waitress arrived and I asked her for a Large draft Beer and a Gin and Tonic, 45 mins later I went back in to find out where our order was to find she was serving a number of other guests, who were not in the Hotel when we ordered our drinks, yes they eventually arrived about an hour after ordering. That evening we went into Sagres for a look around and got back to the Hotel about 10.00,we thought it would be nice to have a Coffee in our room on the Balcony. The sheer surprise from the Receptionist to our request was horror, I am sure we were not the first guest to ask for a Coffee in our room, we were told to go to the bar and order from their, fine we thought, We went to the bar and ordered two coffees with Milk, and a Brandy, our coffees arrived 35 mins later, they must have had to boil a big kettle!!! How a Hotel of this standing does not offer Tea and Coffee facilities in the room is surprising, but 35 mins foe a cup of coffee????

    The world's most incredible view.

    Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely pool, great selection for breakfast, quiet and relaxing atmosphere with an incredible view across the Sagres fortress and out to the Atlantic Ocean.

    “The Place” in Sagres

    Conveniently located at the top of the Hill and opposite the sea and the fortress. The hotel has a magical touch of history with great comfort and amenities. Excellent pool and Spa, good food and excellent staffs. The rooms have nice balconies with tables to enjoy the sun going up or down. Very near the beach on a walking distance. They can assist with additional services from the city like renting bikes or attending surf lessons. They count with traditional portuguesse food and a very good bar (try the local gin)

    Extremely clean , comfortable bed, pillows and really nice sheets. Large, powerful shower. We paid for a basic room and they upgraded us , no charge. Our balcony and view were fantastic. Breakfast was large and delicious. There was no coffee in the room and they supplied me with a kettle with cups. We accidentally locked ourselves out on our balcony (easy to do, be careful) and a young man came and let us out. Very professional staff, all speak English. Great hotel ! I’d give it a PERFECT score !
