Excellent... but pricey
Big hotel, nicely renovated with all the amenities and service you would expect from a Hilton. The room was TINY, and so was the bathroom – especially considering the price (but then this is Iceland, where everything is pricey). Breakfast was amazing and the a la carte menu in the restaurant downstairs was also top.

Rooms are pretty basic, but the hotel offers a load of different (though very pricy) services.

Our third stay at this hotel and just as good as ever. We stayed on 4th floor and paid extra for the view of the mountains which is worth it having stayed in a cheaper room last time with view of rear car park! Rooms are spacious, beautifully clean with comfy beds. There is a fridge you can use and a kettle with tea/coffee provided. The only issue we had was the heat in the room which made it difficult to sleep and this was February! There is no air con you can control yourself but thankfully one of the windows opened. Though a board outside showed the temperature to be -7 on the first night, we had the window open all night to cool the room down. This was only a small matter and certainly won't stop me from staying again. The bar/reception areas are super with lovely relaxing areas in front of the fire. Breakfast is expensive at about £23 each if you pay as you go however is well worth the money - excellent quality of food and a huge variety - one of the best hotel breakfasts going and sets you up for the day. The hotel is about a 10/15 minute walk into the town centre but is next to a row of places to eat - Chinese, Italian, Mexican etc. Finally, I should add that the staff are always wonderful - very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Look forward to my next visit!
