Great location and decent sized room
I thought this hotel was very good value. Really good location for the Oedo line and Shinjuku. Walking distance to Meiji shrine and Metropolitan Government Building. Decor is a little tired but room was very clean. Older hotel means it was a larger room than we got in other hotels we stayed in on our trip. Would recommend. We didn't have breakfast so couldn't comment.

Good service
The receptionists were helpful and polite. The room was a bit small, but the facilities were enough. We stayed in the hotel for four nights, and there were cleaning services upon our request. It was good that the hotel could keep the baggage for us. Although the hotel is a bit far away from the Shinjuku station, there is free shuttle bus service provided by the hotel. It is much better if there is still at least one free shuttle bus service from 11:00 to 14:00.

Unclean rooms.
Booked this hotel for 2 separate stays (22 to 25 Nov, 26 to 28 Nov) as i was doing a day trip to Yokohama in the midst. Realized that the bed was infested w bed bugs after we checked out of the 1st room and went for our day trip. We definitely did not have this bites prior to checking in. Wanted to cancel my 2nd part of the stay (26 to 28 Nov) but was too late to secure another accommodation. Hence had to put up with more bite marks. Definitely not coming back to this hotel for another stay !

Convenient, quiet neighbourhood
Good location to a subway station and opposite a park. Quiet neighbourhood not in the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku. However, Shinjuku station (and the 'lively area' of Shinjuku) was within very easy walking distance(10-15 minutes). Convenience store virtually next door. Have had better breakfasts in other Asian countries, but it was okay for what we needed. Seemed to be more typical of what to expect in Japan. We were able to leave our bags prior to check-in and after check-out which was very convenient. Also, whilst we walked to most places the free shuttle bus service offered by the hotel to get to Shinjuku Station was very convenient. It runs every 20 minutes, and if I remember correctly the first bus was at 7.03am. It was also very convenient having a laundry room with washing machines and driers for a small fee (approx. 300 yen). Rooms were not huge, but typical of what you can expect in Japan. The room was a little 'older' but we spent very little time there and it was perfect for what we needed - bed, shower and breakfast! Free Wi-Fi worked well.

Run down but apparently undergoing renovations. Very busy at check out time and so many people missed their free shuttle as they could not all fit in. I avoided that by walking 5 minutes to the right to the Park Hyatt the day before and booking a place on the airport limousine bus. Easy and much quicker than going to Shinjiku station on the shuttke - if there is a space.
