Stay in Swansea
Had a great night at the Grand. Hotel has recently been refurbished to a high standard. We had a lovely room on the fourth floor which had a balcony, jacuzzi bath & a nespresso coffee machine. A comfortable bed provided a good nights sleep. A short walk from the hotel takes you into the city centre where all amenities are available. A car park behind hotel cost only £5 per 24 hours. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Swansea.

Too hot in room
The room was very hot, there was a portable air cooling system but that was not much use. The building work outside started at 9 am (we were not told of this) It was an unexpected early bank holiday wake-up call.

Cant wait to stay again!
Great hotel! Would definitely stay here again. Katie was a huge help with directions and general info. Right near the Swansea train station yet quiet to sleep. Very spacious & comfortable room/bed. Convenience store across the street.

Not good value. Tiny room, window broken (first wouldn't close, then wouldn't open), very stuffy and although there was an aircon unit, it was very noisy, no soundproofing so a lot of noise from other rooms. The staff were lovely but the hotel is under staffed on the front desk and bar.

Value for money, good location
Mixed feeling across 3 rooms. 1 was perfect, although matress was thin and dipped in the middle. Also window didnt open. But air xon worked fine so no issues. 2nd had no cold water only warm or hot 3rd was too hot and sink blocked. No window openable, aircon was broken amd made a horrific noise. Blocked sink reported and came to fix with a screwdriver and a knife as no access to tools on a weekend.... this process stunk the already stuffy room as matted hair was removed. It then remained blocked/slow draining. Staff were friendly, location ok, great for train station, ample parking (to be paid for) On check out late morning the hotel was unsightly, linned thrown in the corridors and by the lift. Dirty laundery in the reception area in roll cages smeered with blood - not what guests want to see. Overall a nice hotel - just needs little things attending to!
