I booked through Expedia and when we got to the lodge at 10pm after a long day driving, they said they couldn’t find our booking. I showed them my confirmation email from Expedia but they were persistent that they couldn’t do anything because it wasn’t on their screen. Finally at 10:45 they just gave us a room and said to everything should be fine as soon as they get the confirmation on their ends. Next morning we get told our current room is already booked for the next night and we have to move rooms. Not the end of the world, just super inconvenient. I get my bill at checkout the next morning and see they’ve charged me full rates ughh. We ended up having to call Expedia and talked with them on the phone for an hour. But the people at the front desk still had some resistance towards giving us the Expedia rates, but after about an hour and a half going back-and-forth they honoured the rates that were on our confirmation email. The front desk here made us feel like we were criminals trying to get our prebooked prices. It was the opposite of the warm welcome we were hoping for. In the end it worked out but it was a bit of a nightmare and we didn’t get to fully enjoy our weekend. I would like to say that the dining staff and the rest of the staff in the resort were absolutely great. And food is phenomenal. Kayaking in the harbour was also very fun.

Lots of spiders and cobwebs including one small venomous spider we escorted out. Lots of dead flies along walls and behind furniture. Restaurant pricey but ok. Scenery spectacular. Kayaking was great. Staff great.

Stunning west coast experience listening to eagles chitter while watching harbour seals swim by-all viewed from our sundeck. Excellent dining and service. We ate outside on the deck whenever possible.

Our spa suite was lovely over looking Johnson Straits Staff were friendly and helpful Food was terrible and very overpriced, there kitchen staff should take cooking classes. If we were to go back I definitely would not eat there.

Very beautiful room! The property was quiet and the spa was closed, but k was very impressed with the restaurant and the room. I got a steal of a price coming on a certain day so I can't complain.

This was a lovely place and hope to return again. No microwave so had to ask the restaurant to warm up my meal! They did. Loved the Adirondack chairs on the lawns overlooking the Discovery Passage. Cruise ships are regular sights. The included breakfast was so good! Ordered what I wanted from the menu. Encountered deer on several occasions on and into the property. Water taxi to the Painters Lodge was a great feature for more dining choices. No elevators so take note. Request ground floor if that is an issue.

Unbelievable setting .... the property is etched out of a rocky shore, overlooking powerful tidal waters, and strong winds funnelling thru Discovery Passage. Room was very clean, beds were sumptuous. Bath robes and slippers set the mood for a relaxing evening.

Requested an upgrade at 3:30 pm closer To the water. The check in. Lady said yes but the room we wanted was not clean she would have it cleaned we sat Outside our room until 6 pm eeberytime She saw us she would say oh yes your room I will get right on that 2 1/2 hour wait I spoke to the Manager and all he said was how hard is it to sit outside with this beautiful view he did nothing for me. My husband made a reservation for dinner in the restaurant for 8 PM with a window seat overlooking the ocean again the manager Said it would not be a problem because nobody has reserved yet. When we showed up at 8 PM a young girl sat us in the cornerRight beside The dirty dishes tray we sat there for 15 minutes waiting for service and none came So we got up and left it was the worst treatment ever my staff. At check out at 7 AMWe were greeted by a wonderful lady at the counter he asked how our stay was so I told her she felt very bad for us and gave us a $50 credit off our bill Considering it was a 26 year anniversary our stay at April point Was a disaster because there is no where else to go eat we were so hungry And very disappointed as the staff at the counter said they would have given us the entire night free but it was not her decision to make she made me feel so much better even by giving us the $50 credit because breakfast was included in our stay we went to the restaurant This time we were greeted by a lovely Server she was Amazing

Gorgeous view, beautiful and serene. Staff is very friendly. A very nice place to stay for a relaxing vacation. The housekeeping staff for our room kept taking but forgetting to replace the bath mat everyday. No biggie. The view from the dining room is top notch. Too bad the entire coast of BC was smoky during our stay.
