About Peter Island Resort and Spa

Location.
Views of neighboring islands captivate Peter Island Resort and Spa guests as they explore this private, 730-hectare resort. Guests arriving via Cyril E. King International Airport in Charlotte Amalie are met by a resort agent, who can arrange transfer from St. Thomas to Peter Island (available Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday only; surcharge applies and advance notice required). Guests arriving at Terrence B. Lettsome Airport (servicing Beef Island/Tortola Island) can request roundtrip taxi and boat service (advance notice required; surcharge applies).

Hotel Features.
The resort's teak rocking chairs afford an ideal perspective for contemplating the turquoise-blue waters of the Caribbean. Complimentary shuttle service throughout the resort and to the beach is a phone call away, or guests may explore the island astride complimentary mountain bikes. Tradewinds Restaurant serves grilled, ocean-catch entrees while transporting guests into the mood of the islands via live musical entertainment. Deadman's Beach Bar & Grill features a Carribbean buffet with steel drum band on Wednesday evenings following manager’s cocktail party on the beach.

A water sports center lends equipment free of charge, tennis buffs may play on 4 Tru-Flex courts, and a fitness trail features exercise stations. The Peter Island Resort and Spa operates a 26-foot power boat, and the concierge can schedule deep-sea and in-shore fishing charters at the yacht harbour. As an alternative to the panoramic beach, the resort offers an outdoor pool. Those whose escape is found between the pages of a good book may gravitate to the well-stocked library. The resort provides wireless Internet access free of charge.

The onsite health Spa on Peter Island, with exquisite views of ocean and garden, offers exclusive treatments. Luxurious services include massage, facials, spa tub, fragrant body scrubs and renewing mud body wraps, and hydrotherapy and Ayurvedic treatments. Advance reservations required for all massage and spa treatments. An adjacent fitness center contains a Universal gym.

Guestrooms.
This resort offers 52 air-conditioned guestrooms and junior suites in 13 2-story buildings hidden by tropical gardens. Balconies offer partial or full sea views. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided. Décor includes rattan and wicker furniture, tile floors, area rugs, and West Indian prints. Infant beds (cribs) are available free of charge. Guests can request connecting or adjoining rooms.

Peter Island: Jewel of the Caribbean
Peter Island is a gem and a great place to recharge batteries. For those in need of retail therapy, Tortola is a short boat ride away. One gets gourmet dining as well. We had Thanksgiving dinner, which was a delicious buffet. Breakfast is a "cannot miss". Service with a smile is provided at the resort.
