This is the ideal place for staying in Kyoto. Convenient to the Palace, shopping, and Gion. We have stayed at over a dozen accommodations in Japan and this is by far our favorite. Everything was great, the only thing that we didn't care for was the check in process at Kyoto station then to another office. The shuttle took us directly to hotel and from then on, everything was perfect, staff, room, cleanliness, and right in the heart of the city.
