Very Good8.0
Lovely hotel, friendly staff, food service tragic
Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Food in the Carre restaurant was awesome, but let down by tragically almost comically bad service. Everything took forever. Waiting staff running from table to table, not knowing where to turn next. No one is taking the time to properly train, motivate and supervise the staff. And there are simply not enough staff to cope with the number of guests, even when the restaurant wasn't that busy. Apparently management is fully aware but won't hire more staff, which is a crying shame as it lets the excellent food down.

A great disappointment! Would never recommend.
Le Meridien should be ashamed! The property is old and tired and in terrible shape. Yes they are renovating the bungalows -- but the staff and attitude needs major renovations as well. I booked an Ocean View and got no view, I could not stay in the room assigned as the smell of mildew and mold were so strong. They claimed they had no other rooms, no manager (it was the weekend- he didn't work weekends). They cleaned another room that was out for maintenance.I have photos to prove. Asked for the General Manager's card -- of course they had none. This Le Meridien is not interested in your business. What a disappointment!

Think Motel Six 3 Star
Shabby rooms, NO ENGLISH TV, abusive receptionist snapped and got nasty arguing what type of room was booked. No excuse for her behavior. We’re the GUESTS!! It’s called customer service for a reason. I’ve never had a clerk tell me to hurry talking because the bell an is busy. I am his job! Floors are cheep synthetic wood and coated in dirt. Adobe-like finish in bathroom with barely flushing toilets. Lobby area is worn badly. There’s a restaurant of course and internet. Rooms are supplied with 2 thin towels and worn wash rags. Instant coffee in rooms. If you’re looking for a barebones motel, it’s barely adequate.
