Wonderful Cascais
Great location, wonderful hotel but beds are very hard.

Lovely place in a great location
Our stay was lovely. Room was spacious junior suite. Could hear noise from the road and birds in the park just behind but not too loud, just windows could do with a bit of sound proofing. Food was OK, good spread for buffet breakfast so you should be able to find something to your taste. Only thing is the hot food not very hot and the cold stuff not very cold, specially the milk. Buffet dinner was OK, again the food not very hot, but a good selection. Pool is lovely and views fantastic. Overall its a lovely place to stay.

Vila Galé Cascais 2019
Vila Galé Cascais is an excellent hotel. The staff are very friendly and they are always there to assist with all travel needs. We had a junior suite which was very spacious and modern, and thoroughly cleaned every day. The room has a small kitchenette, so if you wanted to cook food, you could. The restaurant was very nice, but we only used this for breakfast. The breakfasts catered for all tastes, continental, cooked and cereals, not to mention the delicious ‘Danish Pastries’. The bar area catered for lunchtime snacks also. The hotel is positioned 10mins walk from Cascais where you will be spoilt for choice for bars and restaurants. This is the second time we’ve visited Portugal, for an annual football tournament my youngest son attends. Previous we stayed in the Vila Galé Estoril, which was equally as nice, but better positioned for local transport. I can honestly say Cascais and the Vila Galé Cascais is worth a visit. You will not be disappointed!

Lovely affordable hotel close to Cascais
Sadly only stayed one night, but this hotel is in a nice area near to Cascais. Beautifully kept with peacocks in the garden and a lovely pool. Thank nlt negative comment is that it’s quite a big step into the bath to have a shower (and no grab rail) would prefer easier access shower (what about the poor souls who cannot bend and have no agility - it would be impossible to get in the shower)

Spacious hotel, near the coastal walk of Cascais
Good location for this hotel with car parking. For those on foot local taxis are ok. The local BusCas, which used to pass the hotel, no longer does as the small bridge over the Atlantic only takes light vehicles. Nearest stop is at Boca do Inferno. In Sep, the clientele were quite mature apart from Portuguese families; their kids go back to school 12 Sep. Sea view rooms get morning sun, park view get the evening sun. Good range of food at breakfast but cold croissants etc. Staff in great hurry to remove plate from the tables. No evidence of security at all; anyone could walk in and head to the poor area or access lifts to the rooms- this needs to be addressed. Cleaning staff very pleasant and dililigent. Small fridge, no irons, kettle on request. Local supermarkets / market / train and bus stations all within 20 mins walk.Large pool area, with shower at 1 end which few people bothered to use. Circular pool so hard to do laps. Black sun loungers got very hot to touch. Good number of parasols. Pool towels provided at reception. Live entertainment 3 times pw. Evening buffet cost iro 25 euros. Family of peacocks stroll around the grounds - very friendly. I requested early access to breakfast for airport departure and it was arranged.

Great 5 day stay with the family. The hotel is very comfortable, with excellent garden and pool area. The breakfast has a very good variety of hot and cold food. I would highly recommend the Vila Gale when visiting Cascais.
