Very good
Amazing location! Very nice hotel.
The location is amazing. Just on the south side of the Ponce Viccio it’s an easy walk to everything. Amazing views from the 6th floor restaurant, (breakfast is included). I often stopped by the restaurant again for deishious gelato and/or a Negroni before going to the room for the night, to see night time views. There is a mezzanine level that is rarely used. I used it as my private giant living room! So relaxing to take a break during the day and read a book. I’m traveling alone and booked a single room, which was small but recently renovated. The bathroom was very large by European hotel standards...nearly as big as the bedroom! Very nicely renovated and clean. I might suggest adding another light over the bathroom mirror....it was a little dark for shaving. The bed was too firm for my taste. There is a bit of a trade off for a hotel so close to the action...there is quite a lot of noise coming from the street. I was on the first floor, but I can’t imagine going up a few levels would make much difference in the noise level. But the area does quiet down eventually for the night. Overall I was thrilled with this hotel and location. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, decent breakfast
We stayed in a triple room which was gigantic. The shower was tight, the safe was small, but other than that it was excellent. The service staff came into the room even though the do not disturb sign was out, though the opposite side of the side says please make up the room, so it’s possible someone bumped it before they got there. Breakfast was ok. The view was fabulous, though. Great location in walking distance from most of the sights.

No place like home
This hotel was the best location, so close to everything to see and do, the staff could not be any friendlier , room was so comfy , we had booked a triple room for myself , husband and 22 year old daughter, upon arrival they upgraded us to a junior suite which gave us two separate bedrooms one with a true king, not two twins together and a another room which had a daybed / living area with a small balcony with a table and two chairs , my daughter loved the bed , so comfy. The location could not have been better for shopping, site seeing , as you are literally right on the Ponte Vecchio bridge, restaurants, there is a great restaurant a few feet away, mamma Gina’s , so good , definitely go, and the best gelato right next door , and pizza , pastry stores liter the whole area, the hotel offers a free breakfast on the rooftop and it was everything you need to start your day , not a typical American breakfast but you are in Italy afterall and it is a true italian breakfast , very very good! The staff was extremely helpful any time of day or evening from questions we had about anything to getting us taxis when needed , I can not wait to return !!!! Thank you Hotel Pitti Palace for a wonderful stay!

Great hotel, great location shame about Ryanair!!
Hotel perfect to allow easy walking around Florence. We used ZIP transfer to and from Pisa airport, a brilliant service before and during our trip, much cheaper that others listed including Expedia. Collected and returned to airport in a new Merc with blacked out windows. Florence is a wonderful city but crowded but all sights can be seen on foot. No need for cabs or buses but entry to many of the places to visit have long queues and can have a costly entrance fee. We both felt that the inside of the Duomo was mostly bland in comparison to the two venues mentioned below. I would recommend that a visit to the Gothic Church of Santa Croce is a must but even better and free is the Monastery church of Saint Miniato al Montre and its wrap around cemetery just behind the Piazzale Michelangiolo. The views are better, no crowds and the inside of the church is stunning and all free. Don't fly Ryanair unless you have no other choice, out bound and return flights both delayed with our return flight landing 170 minutes late and all because one of their crew was delayed. Passengers treated like cattle being herded into cramped, crowded corridors before boarding and left on the return trip for over 45 mins without any info or assistance.

Pitti Palace #1
we loved this hotel, excellent location, very kind service, clean room, awesome smelling soap, shampoo, etc. breakfast was #1 in Italy so far! Beautiful rooftop bar and restaurant, didn’t eat here but drinks and service was great. The view is unbelievable. Room was a little small but workable, a tiny bit noisy due to hopping location!
