Near the aquarium and We The Curious, not much nearby otherwise. Easy parking.
Fairly basic room that looks less refurbished than images shown on hotel page here. No fridge and hair dryer.
Acceptable still if you are looking for a place to take quick shower and sleepover.

Great city centre hotel
Lovely, friendly staff. Clean & tidy room. Fab breakfast. All good. The only thing that would have been nice is air con as it is the hottest Summer the UK have experienced! But we were, however, provided with a fan.

Good location & value, beware of double booking
We arrived in the evening to drop off our luggage on our way to a restaurant booking with ten minutes to spare, to find our room was double booked.
Apparently they did not have my contact phone number, which I find strange as I always provide one, plus they could have emailed me instead. The hotel staff said it must be due to the Expedia booking system I used and that they would have take my number if I'd booked directly with Travelodge.
We were put in another Travelodge and offered a free taxi journey and breakfast in compensation, but it was very inconvenient as we were running late for our restaurant booking by then so had to take our luggage to the restaurant, plus we were not as close to the attraction we wanted to visit on foot the next day.
Otherwise, it was basic but good value if you're on a budget. Just book directly with the hotel and check in asap.

Good budget hotel
As always, the rooms are comfortable and clean....what more can you ask.
I would not however recommend the breakfast.......it is basic in the extreme and not good value for money....the orange juice is watered down so that it is nothing more than coloured liquid.....the scrambled eggs are not light and fluffy as claimed and are a microwave version....the container used to fetch them into the dining room would put you off eating anything other than toast........and the sign saying you can have your croissants warmed is a misnomer, because they had none. Simple message.....have a cup of tea and wander 5 minutes down the road for breakfast.
on arrival window would not shut on the catch, second room window had no handle at all just a hole after complaining a second time we had a satisfactory room with secure window.

Good and convenient
We were well pleased with the hotel, after reading other reviews I could not recognise their description. We would opt to stay there if we travel to Bristol again Alan & Family
