Quite good hotel...
I stayed 6 days at San Remo Hotel. The hotel was as I suspected, hence no bad surprises. Though... my room was quite small (that was okay, but still) and there were no heating. You are then given an electric heater, which may be satisfactual for you - or not. I didn't freeze at all, while using the heater and the noise from it was "to live with." The issue with "only bath and toilet on the hall" was absolutely no problem! Clean and funny.. (old!) - but nice. The antique furniture and look of the hotel is also quite okay. You know, that's what it looks like, and this is just "atmosphere." The staff - everyone - was nice and helpful. (That is not given in this pricerange, but one of the most important things.) I would make coffee and such free and available all day long. Not only until 1 PM. I would also have like a possibility of buying soda/something cold to drink - but there were none. I would (maybe) also invest, as a hotel, in a little larger bathing towels. Just a bit. (This is small stuff.) Overall - since the price level is so high in San Francisco - the hotel was good and worth the money. But compared to my homeland, Denmark, it was quite expensive.

Quirky, charming, and great location
Quirky, charming place in an excellent location. Excellent service and great coffee. Very safe and quite clean. Walls are definitely thin, so bring earplugs. Mattress is not very thick but comfortable.

Such a cute place to stay! I felt transported in time! We had a very comfortable stay there for three days. The hallways and some room entrances are a bit narrow. There were two showers, two seperate toilets and a sink in our section of the hotel. Do bring shower shoes. The showers had soap and shampoo in dispensers inside. Near the sink there were many amenities available: soap, mouthwash, a hair dryer, hand sanitizer, Q-tips, cotton face pads and paper towels. There was a supply of towels and a space heater in our room. That came in very handy during the cold nights. When it rained, I was able to dry out my tennis shoes. We were given one key to enter the main door and another for our room. When entering the main door, you must go up a flight of stairs, so that should be kept in mind for those with mobility issues. The rooms were comfy and nicely decorated. The only issue we had was the noise that came from the restaurant kitchen below. We heard pretty much everything for a few hours every night. Other than that, we enjoyed the stay!

This property has quaint charm from the early 1900s and was very clean in the shared bathroom and toilet facilities. The reception stuff were welcoming and provided good assistance.

the rooms are very small and the window pull down shade was broken so couldn't really look out. Otherwise loved the atmosphere and the staff were really nice.
