Relaxing but close to the action
Absolutely fell in love with this place and it has changed my perspective on BnBs forever. A bit of unspoiled old Florida style in ever evolving and updating Key West. We stayed in Tree Top Too which was a second floor room with a huge front porch overlooking the pool, lush gardens and breakfast area. Spacious, tidy and all the little details were thought out, even a cutting board and knife for our limes. We rented bikes onsite from the front desk to explore and every person on staff was friendly, including Amy the inn's resident cat that strolls around outside. Very quiet and peaceful, even after the sun went down, which was surprising considering how close we were to Duval. Lots of restaurants a block up, and on Duval, but particularly liked the two small grocery stores within walking distance, one more of a health food place and the other regular grocery well stocked with booze. Came in handy for a nightcap. Breakfast was great (homemade muffins!) and they had snacks out in the early afternoon. Loved that they were pet friendly, although we didn't bring ours, we got to know other guests pups. Pools were great to cool off after a day of site seeing and with the room we chose we could completely relax and be left alone. Beds were comfortable and rooms were supplied with beach towels, umbrellas, and glassware. My only hard decision when I return to Key West will be if I choose the same room or mix it up next time. I'll definitely return to Ambrosia.

A great location
The hotel locates just two blocks from Duval Street. It is within walking distance to most of attractions and activities. The hotel itself is very quiet. There are two small heated pools you can soak into them anytime you like. The hotel itself is renovated from several old houses. The one we have stayed is Bob's room. It's cozy. The upstairs is a bedroom with a queen size bed and a bathroom. The lower level has a sofa bed and a full function kitchen. All staffs are very friendly and helpful. A breakfast is included. There limited off street parkings available free of charge. Otherwise, staffs will help you find a parking on street. We cooked the fish we caught in the kitchen.

Beautiful grounds, convenient to Duval but much quieter surroundings. We walked everywhere during our five day stay; our only taxi/Uber was to/from the airport. Our poolside second floor room (109) was much larger than expected based on just the one photo. The mini fridge is dorm-size which was nice for keeping leftovers and some brews from the grocery just a block away. There is no elevator; which was no problem for us but I didn't remember noticing that when I booked. There was plenty of breakfast and they also put out some chips/fruit in the early afternoon. At breakfast, the breads were superior to the scrambled eggs/meats IMO. Good selection of cut fruit and they keep it replenished for the duration. You have to request decaf as it's not automatically provided. Pools aren't huge but the property isn't either so they were never crowded. Housekeeping was excellent. We would stay here again.

Very good
Great location. Great staff. Good accomadations.
Overall experience was great. Stayed 3 nights. The main issue I had was the morning after the 1st night I was awakened by stomping and the sounds of furniture being moved in the room above mine. This started @ 6am and went on for close to an hour. I realize this is an old house with creaks and groans. I just didn't expect clog dancing and remodeling at the crack of dawn. Full disclosure - I returned from Duval Street at 7:30 the following morning. I am not "sensitive". The hotel is very conveniently located 2 blocks from the heart of Duvak St. Also, made friends with a rather large cockroach before I sent him on his way to the hereafter. I am from Florida so critters are to be expected.

Great boutique hotel, +location with a great price
Another of our many unplanned trips to Key West that we love! this time we rode the Harley from Miami, arriving around 11am. We stopped for a refreshment, and right there I received a nice email from the manager Teresa, following up on our arrival time. I told her we where there, and she replied that our room was ready for check in, nice and early! We got there, parked the Harley in a spot in the property, super important for me, and Iveta checked us in very nicely and attentive to all detail. This is a beautiful property with neighboring old town Key West buildings. We crossed the street to our nice room; very spacious, super tidy and a nice bathroom. Two great pools are in the main building, a big jacuzzi was in ours. Very near to nice restaurants like Casa Marquesa, Thirsty Mermaid and Azur. A few blocks from Duval as well. We only stayed for one night, and it was wonderful, great prices for all they offer. And checking out we learned that they accept pets for a fair fee. Next time we will bring Rioja, our Border Collie.
