Maldron Hotel Smithfield
Good business meeting venue .
I hadn't intended to stay in the Maldron but had to visit as we were unable to get a meeting room booked in our usual Dublin venue and am pleased to say I was treated well by the friendly helpful staff at reception on my arrival. I was happy with my bedroom however the bathroom sink had a large crack in it and the paintwork was a bit dated. I must admit despite this I was actually pleasantly surprised to find I enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was fine and the meeting room was well laid out. We had ordered scones and fruit for our colleagues who were travelling into Dublin for our meeting and these arrived promptly and were lovely and warm and fresh. I imagine we will choose to have our business meetings here again as it certainly fulfilled all our needs.

Warm welcome, comfortable and clean.
Last minute booking and therefore not researched heavily but very pleasantly surprised! Warm welcome and room upgrade given. The room was clean and comfortable if a little warm. The only issue was the remote control for the TV not working 100%. Very good hotel and looking forward to staying there again.

Business yes pleasure no
It's a lovely hotel but don't expect much from it. The beds are very comfortable and rooms are a great size. The staff aren't fully helpful and it isn't in a great place for transportation to and around the centre. All in all will not be staying here again. They also didn't have a room available for more even booking and paying 11 months in advance and have the audacity to suggest I paid more for a different room... which I argued and finally got a room. I recommend not eating at the hotel and finding the restaurants near by instead.

Four outta five ain't bad. Not worth so much money
Really friendly and helpful staff. Bit sad there were no cookies or herbal tea with the coffee. I got in super late and tired and hungry from a flight so... I think hotels here are overpriced in general though for what you get.

Comfortable stay in the heart of Dublin
We stayed for a girls weekend break and loved it. It's about a 15 minute walk into Temple Bar along the River Liffey which means it's a nice quiet hotel to return to when you're ready for bed! Junior suites are spacious and have balconies. The 'Fresh' supermarket next door is fantastic, we got a selection of hot food and drinks to enjoy in the room before going out. Tram stop is very close or a taxi into town is about €10.
