ACCUSED US OF LYING TO COVER THERE BACK
Our stay at Radisson Blu was okay we where there for a week. It was a shame there we’re works going on and half the hotel was closed! Be aware, you will be awoken by maintenance works if you like to sleep in. What upset us the most was the night before we were going to leave my wife turned on the lamp and it sparked quiet aggressively and shocked her hand. I tried calling reception a few times no one picked up so I ran down to the lobby to tell them what happened. They then tried dismissing this by telling me someone would be up right away to take a look. The maintenance guy came to our room tried turning on the lamp and it sparked again lightly and picked up the lamp and showed us the fault with it. He then quickly went to replace it. At this point my wife’s hand was still hurting and a little numb so I called the reception to speak to the manager. He was apologetic and said that a compensation would be offered and he will personally come down to the lobby in the morning and speak to us. In the morning I went to check out in the lobby and asked to speak to the manager (at this point although my wife’s hand was still hurting I was ready to dismiss the whole thing as the manager had been so understanding the night before). However, I was confronted with a reception worker who said he knew of the situation and they (the hotel) checked the lamp and it was fine. He indirectly, a few times accused us of lying. I then asked for all the names of everyone involved including his

FAB hotel, amazing staff - too many day visitors
Came to hotel for wedding/holiday for birthday and it was full of pleasant surprises from start to finish; upgraded room on arrival, birthday cakes for breakfast and in my room! All staff are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is amazing, everything you can think of. Restaurants: Food is superb, lots of options for veggies/vegans. Room: Air Conditioning not really that cool, it is just a vent fan not an electrical ac so air not chilled, just mildy cool. Only two plug sockets to use by the tv, and no electric shaver point. Take extension adapters! Bed: Very hard and pillows are lumpy, didn't sleep well (because it was hot also). Swimming pools: Main pool runs out of sun loungers by 9am; there's a sign saying not to reserve them with towels but everyone does anyway. One morning a group reserved 8 loungers and then took around 1-2 hours at breakfast - this should be stopped, it is unfair. Pools further around the corner are salt water but have plenty of loungers. Biggest fault is that you get a lot of day visitors who are noisy, rude and take over. Especially at the weekends. Was a visible difference mid-week where it was mainly hotel guests. This is the main point that would put me off booking again as it was so overcrowded. Tips: Use ecabs not hotel for taxis as hotel take a cut (so it works out more expensive for customer). Get a rewards card on check in and use for everything in hotel (drinks, food). You get 5% off.

Everything was good I would say even excellent until the last night when I showed up for dinner at 10.15pm but they refused to take my order even if the kitchen was supposed to close at 10.30pm. I went next door to thre other hotel and even if I was not resident, they accepted to serve with big smile

Luxury by the coast
We arrived after a disappointing cruise and we were immediately at ease. The room was spacious and spotless, your staff were outstanding. We decided to upgrade to the DBB package which was excellent value and the standard of the evening meal was very high. The location was a little further from the promenade than we would have liked, but overall we loved staying with you.

Comfortable and quiet, but beware of storm damage
Comfortable and quiet. Good food but huge portions. Beware there is severe damage to the Lido pool area after a recent storm - this will take some time to fix. Upper areas are under repair now, but there will be nowhere to sunbathe fr some time yet. The hotel did not inform us of this before arrival. The indoor pool and Spa are still closed, although the hotel offers use of similar facilities at the hotel next door.
