Excellent value for money
We had a wonderful stay for the Murder Mystery DBB evening plus 1 additional night. For value for money we can’t rate this hotel less than 5 stars. The rooms were what you would expect from a 3 star hotel, the food was lovely including the Scottish breakfasts and the staff were wonderful.

Excellent breakaway
Stayed for 1 night in a double room. As I'm a bit claustrophobic I felt was a bit too small for my liking. on saying that, I had no complaints as the room was spotless and bed was very comfortable. only problem was I could hear the couple in the next room talking so maybe the hotel could do something about the soundproofing. All staff were excellent. Breakfast in the morning was 5*. Would definitely return but would ask for a bigger room when booking in.

Perfect location when visiting the enchanted forest and great breakfast. Friendly staff.
Bathroom needs updating , cobwebs and spiders in the bath. And was unable to turn the heating off in the room it was very stuffy and noisy pipes in the room constantly making noises which woke me during the night .

Definitely not how it looks in the tv advert
When on arrival we when given two rooms for the four people that where 6 bedrooms apart as we ask if we could possibly get closer as our daughter has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair and has epilepsy as in case anything happens and my wife need help with her and basically the receptionist wasn’t very helpful as she said you are only a few rooms apart so you are close enough so we didn’t argue with her she just gave us the key and got us to sign a paper then gave us a passport about the hotel . We later when and asked about breakfast as she should of asked us about at the time to book when checking in. . We then went to the room as the elevator is very small with two people in it wit a wheelchair and bags very cramped then coming out of it lucky I was there to open corridor doors to get through to the bedroom as my wife would of struggled on her own . The bedroom was not very clean the fawn coloured carpet was very dirty need a good shampoo there was cracks up the walls marks on bed linen and in bathroom there was signs of mould as my wife has asthma and COPD and my disabled daughter also has asthma too the heated towel rail was not very sucure as you will see there was electrical wires showing and covered in tape also down the side of the bath gapping holes and mould and as for the shower head need a good clean .I know the hotel is a older building but there in no excuse for this standard . So over I won’t be recommending your hotel to friends and family .
