Sold out with reservation confirmed
We booked at Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport for one night, because the next day we were traveling back home, but when we arrived at around 9 pm to the Hotel, they told us that they were sold out, and it has been an error with Expedia system and them, but they offered us a room at the Gibson hotel in the city center, at this point we couldn’t do much… at the Gibson hotel the room was bigger than the one that we booked in Carlton and was clean, but the AC wasn’t working, my one year old daughter was so annoyed because it was too hot that we have to open the balcony door in order to cool down the room to be able to sleep, despite all the noise outside, at the next day it took us 45 min to get to the airport because of the traffic of the city center… if you are booking this hotel because of the convenience of the location doble check when you make your reservation…

Hotel OK but expensive!!
As usual Dublin hotels are overpriced as was this one. €250 per night and breakfast extra is not a great way to start your holiday. Convenience to the airport is its strongest virtue. I think my room was actually on the runway as you can hear each plane as it takes off from early doors!! Staying further out from airport and the city will be my future favoured option.

Great Hotel
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was great at Kittyhawks Bar. I was a little disappointed that Runway 28 was closed as this was not indicated on the main website page under dining. I would recommend updating the main dining descriptions to indicate this is closed to prevent confusion.
