Not What it Once Was
Seemed like an "urban" hotel. More about partying and events rather than comfort and relaxation. Not a very upscale vibe. Tons of single men standing around and inside of the hotel. Basic DJ. No door on shower so the water spills all over the bathroom.

Mediocre Everything
After staying at the JOULE, this hotel felt more like a Best Western. The interior and rooms are a bit run down, the room feels cold and cheesy design. The staff was ehh, not excellent, not terrible. A few examples: 1. We left a very nice face cream in the room and called an hour after departing and they said the housekeeper had thrown it away. 2. We asked the conceirge for a recommendation for a cool dinner restaurant with a great atmosphere for 2 women and she recommended we walk across the street to a couple sports bars... not exactly what we were looking for, so we did our own research 3. We called down to the front desk/conceirge 3 times asking for a power converter and every time they said they would look for one and let us know and they never got back to us, so we gave up. The spa was ehhh... nothing special and the woman working in the front is a bit obnoxious. The rooftop pool was closed for construction, which we did not learn until after we arrived. Overall, not the best experience. I would recommend staying at the JOULE in Dallas, that is by far the nicest hotel in this price range in the whole city!!

Modern Chic ast it’s best
Beautifully Modern decor. Very help staff. The restaurant and bar areas were packed with people the food was excellent. We were their for a concert at the American Airlines Center which is walk across the street from the Hotel, so convenient. The entire stay was a delight.

Expected more
Everything was clean, the customer service was good but I expected more from the hotel. We stay at different hotels quite often and I expected this one to wow me but it didn’t. I guess you won’t get that unless you pay $400 a night. Also the water in the shower wouldn’t stay hot consistently.

I was travelling with a friend so I booked a room with two queen beds. We checked in and got to our room to find a king bed. When I called down to the front desk, they said that I booked through a third party and that they couldn't switch the rooms. Their solution was a rollaway. They didn't even offer anything to make up for the mistake. As for the room, it was very small with a shower that only offers privacy with the pull of a curtain. 30 dollars for parking is just a little excessive and no free wifi. For a hotel that claims to be upscale, I find that there are much better choices in downtown Dallas.
