Irving House At Harvard
Cozy affordable place to stay in Harvard
Really pleasant and affordable place to stay near Harvard. Convenient location for Harvard University (5 minutes walk from Harvard Square, with a choice of shops and restaurants). Breakfast was well stocked and fresh. The shared bathrooms were kept very clean and there was always a free bathroom when I needed one. Wifi worked well and was relatively fast. Room was a bit on the small side but had good storage and desk with a couple nice lamps to make it feel cozy. Only downside was the walls are quite thin (as other reviews have also mentioned) so I could hear my neighbors quite a lot, although with some ear plugs I had no trouble sleeping. For me, overall I had a very comfortable stay and would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Harvard haven
Lovely set up. Staff friendly and helpful but not in your face in any way. Guests left to come and go as you please helping yourselves to homemade snacks and the book library along the way.

Irving House At Harvard
Convenient to Harvard
After a slight mix-up about our room., things were corrected and we enjoyed our stay here. The rooms on the 1st floor were very comfortable and spacious. Note there is no elevator so if you have difficulty with stairs, make sure you request a room on the first floor. The breakfast had a good variety, with plenty of healthy options. Its in an excellent neighborhood, very close to Harvard.

I don't get the hype.
I don't get it! While the hotel is wonderfully located and should be very charming, the room we stayed in was tiny, poorly layed out, hens uncomfortable and very, very expensive for what was offered. There are better options!

Very nice service with pleasant surprises
I was impressed that the desk was manned 24/7 and I this was more like a mini hotel, not just a bed and breakfast. Breakfast was great, more than one bathroom on my floor was a plus. Off-street parking was available and essential because street parking requires a permit. But the tight space made it better to leave the car parked and walk, take public transportation, or Uber or Lyft. I came for a weekend class and was able to walk to campus.
