ibis Reading Centre (new ibis rooms) Hotel
Poor quality food, problems with door lock
Got locked out of my room as the electronic entry mechanism wasn't working. Tried 5 times to get in with different cards before reception finally came and let me in. I then couldn't go out again or I would be locked out of the room until someone on reception was free! Doughy undercooked pizza as well.

Faceless but functional
modern city center hotel the room was more spacious than some modern hotels I have stayed in. I just checked in went out for a beer/meal came back stayed the night so didn't use any of the services or extras and can't say if they were good or bad. It is in a good location about 5 mins walk from the railway station but also where the nightlife is, I was given a room on the 12th floor and didn't hear anything from the street no problem with noise or disturbance. The shower ran hot and cold for no reason and without being adjusted was the only negative otherwise I would stay again.
