Springtime in the Garden District
Wonderful Garden District location. On street parking was plentiful and convenient. It's a great neighborhood for walking (just watch your step on uneven sidewalks) and viewing some classic New Orleans mansions. The Innkeeper was very accommodating, leaving us instructions for our late arrival. The Sully Mansion interior was immaculate! The exterior looked great and tidy as well, but some of the landscaping is still "waking up" from winter at this time of year. There's an awesome front porch seating area where you can enjoy a complimentary happy hour cordial and watch the world go by. Stayed in the Tchoupitoulas room, which has a king-sized bed and it's own separate entrance on the back of the property. April in New Orleans can be a little unpredictable with weather. It was raining and cool the night we arrived. The room has a remote-operated electric AC/Heating unit on the wall above one of the windows, which is at least 10-feet in the air. With hot air rising, it's a little difficult to heat the room on cold nights. It's probably better suited for cooling the room in the summer heat. They also include a portable floor heater, which we made good use of. Just an FYI for those accustomed to a traditional central HVAC that you're staying in a building that was constructed in a different era, when heating and cooling required a little finesse. Would stay here again, no question.

Beautiful and Comfortable Home Away From Home
We loved Sully Mansion! Our room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was great and you can't beat the location. My favorite random feature was the carafe of water refilled in our room every day, and the water dispenser in the hall so we could fill our bottles before heading out for the day. Another nice eco-friendly touch was the shampoo/conditioner dispenser in the shower - no wasteful tiny bottles! The innkeeper was friendly and knowledgable with great recommendations, even for independent folks like my husband and I who thought we had everything figured out. We also loved their dogs, Henri and Babette, who cheered us up when we were missing our pets. Close to a great coffee shop and bookstore, we rarely left the neighborhood.

Beautiful B&B in a Beautiful Neighborhood!
We absolutely loved staying at the Sully Mansion B&B Inn and would definitely stay there again! The rooms are reasonably priced, beautiful and comfy with everything you need. The continental bfast was just what I like laid out with delicious coffee and juices, yogurt, pastries or croissants/specialty bread, cheese and fruit to help yourself from 8-10am. I appreciated the honor bar with water bottles, soft drinks and beer/wine/champagne with complimentary hot tea. The neighborhood is beautiful, safe and walkable to many restaurants. We stayed here to rest a couple nights after a music cruise and our stay really sold me on New Orleans. We were a block away from a parade and just a few blocks from delicious restaurants. We didn't want to leave!

Garden District Treasure
Really grand lady of a mansion, with friendly professional service and an excellent breakfast. We loved it! Ideas: 1 the shutter above the desk should cover the window. 2 fix tv cords or put tv in console or remove tv 3 daybed unsuited to be comfortable as couch 5 discreetly modify one balcony window into a door so balcony can be accessed from room.

B&B Disappointment
When we checked in, we were given a room that was so small that we did not have room for our two small suitcases and overnight bag. All the other bedrooms were quite spacious with fireplaces. Our room had a window unit to provide heat which we had never seen in a B&B before. The bathroom was also very small and had no room to move. The Inn Keeper referred to our room as “cozy.” I had to walk sideways in order to get around the bed to the bathroom because the bed was so close to the walls. We have stayed in other B&B’s and was so disappointed in our accommodations.
