Hotel Delfino

Great view when you first arrive at the hotel, unfortunately it was all downhill from there. The staff were openly hostile to my children and complained when they splashed in the pool, one member of staff racially abused my 12 year old son. Beds and pillows are hard and uncomfortable, air conditioning is totally ineffective. Breakfast was fairly basic an unappetising. The local countryside is stunning but the location is pretty remote, a car is definitely required as there is very little to do. Definitely not a family friendly hotel.

Stylish hotel with views over Capri and sunset over Ischia to die for! The sea view room was adequate for our four day stay and the hotel's courtesy bus to Sorrento was excellent and always on time. You would be a bit cut off here without a car as walking is a risky business along these roads. 1960's charm in the dining room which the evening meals were very good. The breakfast buffet was just OK with perhaps the worst coffee we have ever had in a hotel. Maybe a 3.5* hotel at best but it is Sorrento/Amalfi isn't it?

The Delfino was clean and the staff couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming. The pool was fantastic as were the restyand terrace for cocktails.

I would save this hotel for when you’re ready to have the perfect experience. I don’t know how I lucked into choosing this place but I definitely was looking for a place that I could alternate between having a few relaxing days with easy access to the best of what Sorrento Amalfi Positano and Massa Lubrese have to offer. Emalia at the front desk took such good care of us and Corrado down at the beach made sure we were happy. It’s not for everyone. I’m glad I waited to go here with someone who could appreciate it as much as me. Maria and Mikayla in housekeeping were the best! I can’t wait to go back. Also everyone connected to them such as the transport agency and the distinguished gentleman driving the shuttle every hour to Sorrento make it all magical.
