Hotel Paseo del Arte

great location for Art
good hotel in a good location. I have used it on a previous visit. its within walking distance of the three main art galleries and the grand park with botanical gardens and also Atocha station. Plenty of places to eat and drink - including the hotel. I had booked a good room with a terrace and it was comfortable. I wasn't offered any VIP rewards which was a surprise- but I guess I could have asked. The only downside to the visit was the room wasn't made up on one day - another day it had been made up but not replenished. Plus the housekeeper kept knocking quite early and we were there for wedding celebrations so out late and up late. In addition the washbasin plug didn't work. I would however stay again.

Good, Clean, Central Hotel.
Good hotel, slept very well, room was cozy and comfortable on the 1st floor overlooking a side alley/road so thus not a lot of good daylight. That didn't bother me as I was out mostly during the day. Room minibar was stocked with snacks and sweets with price list should you use it. Room service food menu was pricey but it's there if you need to use it but see my cheaper alternative's further down. There was a safe in the room but no Kettle for tea/coffee and no bottled drinking water. Breakfast buffet was okay, usual breakfast things on offer but I didnt see any eggs or ommelette counter to those who may be interested - maybe I didnt look hard enough. Prado Museum is very near within walking distance as is Atocha (Metro) station and the bigger "Atocha Renfe" station (10 min walk) from where trains runs all over the country. There is a Subway, KFC and a McDonalds approx 60m from the hotel and a few doors down there's a Turkish Doner Kebab restaurant with dishes from 10 Euros. For Tapas, I didn't see anything nearby and I didn't ask as i found a place in Central Madrid (take the nearly Atocha metro station 2-3 stops to Gran Via or Sol) . Reception staff were very polite and friendly (all spoke English as well) and were very helpful and polite as were the other hotel staff. Would I stay here again, yes.

Great location
Short trip to Madrid to visit family. This hotel is very well placed near Atocha and walkable to the centre of the city. Facilities are good. Rooftop terrace not available to us and no facility to make a hot drink in the room, but they are small negatives.

Paseo del Arte very appropriate name !
Excellent hotel in good “get about Madrid “ location, v clean, staff helpful. Quiet room off busy street with good amenities nearby. (Very poor reading lights so could not do nightly research and planning)

City break
Lovely hotel, had stayed there before so decided that because we liked it so much to return for a second stay. Very close to Prada & Renia Sofia Museums which both house fantastic collections.
