Fantastic Hotel
I had an excellent stay at the Hilton Kilmainham. The purpose of my trip was to see Dublin and visit Kildare Village shopping centre. I had contacted the hotel prior to arrival to confirm they could store my luggage, check-in was 3pm but I had planned to leave my bags off and be in Kildare by 3pm. The staff were very helpful, reception were able to give me a map of the city and provide me with directions to where I needed to get to. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which is very handy when travelling out of the city cente, however the bus stop to get into the city centre is futher away, but only a 5 minute walk. If you are visiting Dublin I’d recommend a leap card, you pre-load it with credit and get a discounted rate on Bus and Luas services. Kilmainham Gaol is also just across the street. The hotel was very clean, the room was spacious (twin room), the rate was very reasonable. It is located in a quiet area. The hotel is not in the city centre but with the public transport links you can get to Heuston station fairly quickly, then get a Luas or bus into the city centre. I ate in the restaurant for dinner, I enjoyed the food and found the price to be quite reasonable. Again all the staff were very friendly and helpful. If I were to visit Dublin again I would definitely stay at this hotel.

Nice hotel, quieter neighborhood
I stayed at the Hilton for two nights on a recent vacation. The hotel is in good condition and has a nice breakfast. It is in a quieter neighborhood. We selected it because of its proximity to Kilmainham Gaol. Be aware, the hotel is a ways from other poplar attractions, though accessible by bus or cab (we are familiar with Dublin and were aware of this). I found the staff helpful (they obtained tickets for to Kilmainham Gaol). However, the hotel would benefit from having some additional desk and bell staff. The checkout line was lengthy and although there was a card on file, we were requested to present a card at checkout. Not sure what the reason for this is, but it necessitated an additional 20 minute wait to check out. We also had difficulty getting bell staff to help with taking bags to a taxi when we were departing, as well as getting assistance upon arrival at the hotel. Normally, this would not matter to me. But for older travelers or those with issues lifting luggage, you should be aware that the entrance for the hotel is up a few stairs (there is a ramp) and is probably 35 feet from the street.

Overnight stay
Hotel was lovely but late in tge evening the curtains in the room felloff the wall and we had to wsit until 1am to get moved to a new room which was not the quality we booked, was cramped, used a fold away bed and generally was not satisfactory. After a fait bit of debate the hotel have offered a refund on room price to bring this to the price of the lower standard room but this doesnt help with tge fact we had to pavk up and move to another room at 1am and didnt get to bed until 130am. Not acceptable and recognition of the inconvenience caused to me and my daughter.

Lovely stay
Me and my partner had a lovely time in Hilton Dublin Kilmainham and would recommend it to anyone. We received a lovely welcome on arrival to Dublin and staff were very helpful especially as we arrived in the hotel hours before our check in and, despite this, soon accommodated us with a room. Staff were also great in telling us how to get to different places and kindly gave us a map of Dublin. Our room was in lovely condition. Staff also gave us a great send off making sure we got a taxi back to the airport in the early hours. It was a really enjoyable day in a lovely part of the world.

Great business hotel
I have stayed at this hotel before and chose it again because my first stay was very good. The BEST part about this hotel is the deskspace! I had hours of work to do and found it very pleasant with a huge desk at my disposal. The room was comfortable but for some reason I was given an adapted room and I am not disabled. I had been looking forward to a bath instead of a shower but this was not possible and it was a bit late in the day to ask for another room. Apart from that everything was pretty much perfect.
