Hotel Fontan Reforma Mexico
Not the best
We arrived to a very full reception, where a large group was getting checkd in, so our check in took a little longer, but we could see the staff were doing their best. Booked a junior suite, got a nice room on the 8th floor, with a king bed and balcony to the roof the property. The room was perfect, although on the first morning there was no hot water and we were forced to move to a diferent room. The second room was not a junior suite but rather a twin room with views of the city. But despite being on the 8th floor, due to the single glazed windows, we could hear the traffic bellow all day, it was quite a noisy room. Second night we were awaken by very loud music coming from the room next to ours. It took 1 hour for the hotel to solve the issue, and it was only possible by turning the electrical supply for the whole floor! No explanation was given to what happened. The following day, we had no water supply at all at one point, but after notifying reception the water supply was turned on again. Throughout our stay refurbishment work was being carried out in a room nearby. It was noise all day long, and at one point a strong smell of fresh paint filed our room. We cut our stay short, and booked a diferent hotel before our initial booking was over.

very basic budget hotel. good location
very basic budget hotel. what they do well: location and friendly staff. to improve: basic breakfast, room cleanileness has to be more thorough, I had to ask several times for basic toiletries (soap and shampoo) when they should be replaced daily. room had no view.

Overall stay was great! Check-in/check-out was fast and easy. his hotel is only steps away from Metro Hidalgo Station (Lines 2 & 3) and Metrobus! Easy access to public transportation and within walking distance to landmarks! All the food stands around the corner were a plus!
