Nice hotel but plenty of bugs...
Too many mosquitos hovering around the grounds. Consider elsewhere if you prefer to not be around rich vegetation and plenty of insects. If you like that sort of thing, it's the perfect hotel for you.

Overall fine
Overall it was fine and after an issue with our first room we were upgraded to a Pearl suite. The pros. - Amazing pools and garden - Tasty breakfast and an extra pus for the GLUTEN FREE section, much appreciated. - Pearl bed suite on the upper floor was great - Beach just across the road. - Great restaurants with amazing food for little money right outside the hotel on the beach. - Near the airport which was great as we arrived late and departed early. - Friendly staff - Quiet area of Phuket which was perfect for us. Cons. - Expensive to eat and drink at the hotel - Beachvery dirty. Don't understand why the hotel and locals don't try to clean it. - Our first room was a ground floor D-Buk suite. We arrived late at ni6and upon entering it stank if humidity and very poorly lit. When I started to check it was very dirty. Next morning I showed the photos to the manager who moved us to another room which was great and clean. They sent us a bottle of wine as well. My point is that when you book st a 5 star hotel I personally expect it to be clean, well maintained and smell fresh no matter which room category I book. But again was well handled.

Restful. chilled out luxury.
Quirky, pleasant hotel in lovely established grounds. There were plenty of guests when we were there, but it didn't seem crowded. We had the breakfast buffet every day which was excellent; good selection of stuff plus bespoke cooked to order if you wanted it. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurants, preferring the local joints by the beach. The hotel has 2 adult only pools (one with a abr) which were great. The room was comfortable and well appointed, and very clean (turn down service at 5 every day). Bed was a bit soft for me, but that's not a complaint. The staff were excellent, friendly and competent, and the concierge really good.
