The room is quite small. But overall is OK. Breakfast is good.

Brilliant! Great location for metro!
Very friendly and polite staff. So helpful and made us feel welcome. A 5 minute walk from Akusaka Mitsuke metro station which was amazing for getting around the city. Room was great and brilliant facilities. You can buy metro passes directly from the hotel and the free smartphone was fantastic to navigate the city. Thank you! ARIGATO GOZAIMASU!

A lovely hotel in a business location.
Location The area is nice but you are a bit of a distance from the main sights of Tokyo so have a look at what you want to do before deciding on where to stay. Nearby there are some lovely parks and you can easily walk to Tokyo Tower. You are only 5 mins from a subway station so you can get to everywhere else very easily on the subway. If you are staying a few days, it would be worth buying an IC card and loading it will money in advance. This means you can just tap your card when entering the subway rather than buying a ticket each time. The room The room was very nice but a bit small. We had a standard double room and found there wasn't much room to put bags and move around. We were offered a very cheap upgrade when first arriving and wished we had taken it. The bed was comfy and the pillows were much nicer than in the rest of Japan. The air conditioning worked well and there was a TV and desk with plenty of information about the local area. The bathroom contained the usual lovely toiletries found in the rest of Japan so you won't need to bring anything with you. The breakfast A nice breakfast room with reasonable choice of Western and Japanese. Japanese hotels do not always give as much choice as Western guests are used to so be aware of this but Monteray do put on a good selection and the food is fresh. Overall, you won't be disappointed staying here.

Comfortable, Quiet Business Hotel
First visit to Tokyo. Very urban city - possibly better for younger generation (city looked great at night). Hotel clean and comfortable and close to good transport links. Public transport amazingly efficient. Recommend purchasing Japan Train pass available to purchase beforehand. Local eateries good value but western style food expensive - lots of choice.
