Great location.
Great location and very comfortable room. Room was very clean and neat. Late night check-in was as discussed and easy to do. Lots of steps to the room. Close to everything.

Best of both worlds – nice apartment style hotel!
Great location, close to trains and 24hr public transit. Absolutely lovely room, VERY comfortable bed. SO SO SO comfortable. Great shower. And gorgeous natural light in the rooms. Check in is a little odd, and it's confusing trying to call the property because you get sent to a call center somewhere. But the staff who checked us in were very friendly and staff throughout the hotel were as well. Only downside was the shared kitchen needed some attention. We were there for a weekend and the trash was overflowing the whole time, they were out of paper towels, and it was a little messy. Hard to find where things were, and unclear where to find or put things like dishes, utensils etc. The shared kitchen is one of the perks, but we certainly would have used it more effectively if it had been in better shape. Still though, it was helpful to have a fridge and microwave, and if they were not out of coffee that would be useful too. (Although Alliance is across the street and one of THE best coffee and pastry places in town.) Definitely a great option for those who want a more "home-like" space, but don't like to support other "vacation rental" sites that shall not be named who tend to run out locals and lead to "touristification" and renovated ghost towns. This is the best of both worlds. I would definitely stay again.

Good 6.0
Middle-of-the-road at best
This was my final stop on a cross-country return trip for work, so I decided to book this room because it was the only one available in the area that would allow an under 21 check-in. I never had contact with anybody else in the building as the front desk hours are very short and I did not use any of the spa services. The Wicker Park location is about the only thing I can say I was thrilled about. My bedroom was filthy and the wifi was terrible. There was still hair in the sink from the last tenant, stains on the shower door, and the carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed. The temperature in the room was 56 degrees when I entered and it took nearly 2 hours for it to reach 70. I will say, however, that the bed was extremely comfortable and I was satisfied with the amenities I had in the room. The kitchen was also a mess, however, and the door to the mini-fridge wouldn't even close because so much frost had built up in the freezer. Overall, I'd say my stay here was kind of middle-of-the-road at best. There really should have been at least one free spa service included for the price, but there was free gym access so I guess that's something.
