Lovely staff but not a great hotel for us
We saw the mixed reviews on here but hoped for the best. While we couldn't fault the staff on being very friendly, helpful and attentive we couldn't help but find the hotel a little odd. A taxi from the train station cost €18, we dabbled with the idea of the bus but wasn't sure where to catch the specific bus we needed and after a long train journey couldn't be bothered with it. To get in the hotel with our suitcases we had to go around the side and wait for a dining table to be moved so we could get in a French doors leading to the breakfast room. The hotel has a very old feel about it and the lighting makes it seem quite dim, my preference is for modern hotels so this may well be to someone else's taste. Most of the clientele were older when we saw them at breakfast. There are free snacks, coffee and alcohol in the sitting room which is a nice touch. The free breakfast is very nice and has a good selection. The breakfast room is quite small and can feel a bit claustrophobic if there are a few people in there. But we could overlook most of that, the main thing was the location was a bit of a pain. The buses that led to the centre seemed tk be quite infrequent and at night there was an hour wait. So we got taxis instead, which generally cost €14-18 one way. This added a lot of expense to the 4 day trip in total. If you want modern hotel with a convenient location with easy access to the centre, this isn't for you. If this isn't your main feature, then it'd be fine.

Very Good8.0
Clean, good breakfast, easy bus to central center
Great stay. Hotel was a little dated, and the wi-fi was really slow. But the room was clean and spacious, great breakfast and easy transit from the train station via bus 23A! Not central location but easy transit via bussing! Yes, I'd highly recommend Rosary Gardens

Rosary Garden
Beautiful and comfortable. We had difficulty finding it as the door is not on the side of the building as the street address. The bus to city was close and a market across the street. Would go back.

Stay away and stay elsewhere
Stay away if you can I seldom take the time to leave a negative reviews, as I am a world traveller and I find most issues workable. This was not the case. PIctures on the site were done by a very good marketing agent. For a US traveller this will equate to a Holiday Inn Express-Motel 6 experience. -First; No lift; ( understand this is fairly common in Europe, in historical hotels ) This is a modern property and they do have a lift to connect to the breakfast room, yet not available to some rooms ( our room ) Stairs from the street and on and the poor ( Very nice guy ) and myself almost feel bring them up. Mattresses: very uncomfortable. Back hurting the following day, Booked a Quad room for 4 and there were two tiny sofa beds for the 2 extra beds, extremely uncomfortable Free Wifi: It never worked, tried to do a bit of work while way, impossible. The worst: 4 tiny tables in the tiny "breakfast room". We tried to go out to breakfast 2 times and could not as they were all occupied. We were then called to have breakfast, only to be rushed to eat in five minutes, as it was past the "breakfast time" while rude person had taken most of the items out and stated several times that she needed to close the room ( hotel has 15 plus rooms . I will stay at a Motel Six before I return here. Positive Note: Rodrigo was extremely attentive, courteous. Final note: book elsewhere if you can
