KingsWood Hotel
Great staff, VERY slow WiFi speed 0.28mbps
Bed was a litttle on the firm side for my liking, staff were all super friendly and professional though. The restaurant onsite is actually quite a good one, although I didn’t use it on this visit, I have used the same small chain in Dublin City, and it was really good. The major thing that would prevent me from coming back was the REALLY slow WiFi speed. When traveling on business a fair speed of internet is needed just to stay on top of things. Sadly at this hotel when I checked the speed at various points of the night / morning the speed was at its peak 0.28mbps... it wasn’t actually possible to do any work at all with a connection so bad unfortunately which put a huge dent in the working day. Free and secure parking though, so if it’s a quick leisure getaway it’s perfect, but business trips... not so much I’m sad to say.

OK but worth spending the extra due to travel time
On arrival the receptionist was really uninformative, had no sense of humour and quite bland as front of house staff go. Check in was smooth given it was extremely late. Out in the middle of nowhere and costs 50 euros by cab. Bus stop outside the hotel however not regular at weekends, running every quarter to the hour and costs E3.30 (have the right money) tram is a long walk away. Either way takes under an hour to reach the centre of Dublin. It's expensive as far as hotels go, worth trying to obtain somewhere more central. Breakfast wasn't included however available to order at 11 euros otherwise it would cost 12 lol

Disappointing stay in a 4 star hotel
The day we arrived checking in was okay but later in the evening 11:30 while trying to have a shower the hot water went off. After 20 minutes still no water. Removed soap suds with a towel and went down stairs to complain and was told it would not be back on until 4:00. When I went in the shower again in the morning I soaped up again but this time it scolded my head. Breakfast staff we found to be rude and understaffed. In fairness to the hotel they did give me there apologies and finally we were offered a free meal for our party of four in the adjacent restaurant.
