Good location and value for visit to New Orleans
Booked from UK based on location and cost. Good choice. Reception and breakfast at sister hotel a couple of minutes away. Room was very good. Elegant room, high ceiling, polished wood floor, four poster bed without canopy, plenty of drawers etc for our 3 day stay and full length blinds and curtains to cut out light and any noise. Location just off Charles St and between French Quarter and Garden District. Easy access to French Quarter on street car. Reception staff helpful and could book trips for you. There was a chap working at reception who could have helped when receptionist was busy but he chose to just carry on his own work. Breakfast OK but no doubt for economical reasons always at the sister hotel when there was a nice room and courtyard at Prytania Oaks.

1st time New Orleans
Quiet area. Block away from Street Car. It is an annexe so need to go to main hotel to check in, across the street. Check wher exactly before going. Comfortable room and bathroom and staff very helpful. Breakfast in with the cost and more than adequate, Patricia makes a wonderful waffle. Will stay again.

Historic setting - OK for One Night
A quaint historic house near St. Charles Avenue, with individual rooms. Room was clean - historic with hardwood floors and appointments, but modern shower which was nice, but took some of charm away. I had a single room with private bath at the rear of the building -very quiet, but not much of a view. There are rooms with a porch overlooking the historic neighborhood, so make sure you check out what type room you are choosing. In room coffee pot, refrigerator, many channels on TV. Cold continental breakfast in morning - very small, and they were short staffed. All in all, it was an "OK" stay but I probably would not stay again....too many other places in New Orleans to choose from.

When we first entered the neighborhood, we were appalled. It is run down and somewhat frightening. However, it looks as if a lot of work is going into it. The hotel also looked a bit sad on the outside, but it was clean, quiet and comfortable, plus close to the trolley, so we were fine. Staff was great. Lots of restaurants nearby, plus free parking. We never used our car. Sidewalks were broken, so if walking is a problem, think twice. Overall, we had an excellent stay.
