Spa Sandos has 22 treatment rooms, including rooms for couples and outdoor treatment areas. Massages are available on the beach and in the spa. Other services include deep-tissue massages, hot stone massages and sports massages. A variety of treatment therapies are provided, including aromatherapy, hydrotherapy and reflexology. The spa is equipped with a sauna, a spa tub, a steam room and Turkish bath/hammam.

Better than expected
My family of five stayed for six days and seven nights. Checking in took the longest. After getting to the room we were pleased to see water and drinks in the mini fridge. There was so many things to do. My kids really enjoyed their two water slide areas and the main pool. Very clean and service was great. Love their buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have a variety of foods and drinks and their staff was very friendly and always had great attitudes. To get the fresh tasting food, you need to get there closer to the opening hours of every meal. Their restaurants did require reservations and I was only able to reserve to one. The food at the restaurant was not to our liking and service was slower so if you’re hungry, you need to keep the timing in mind. There’s shows on some nights and vendors too. Loved their coffee at Cupcake Cafe. There’s so much more to say but all positive. I can see my family returning here for future vacations.

Sandos Playacar
Overall a decent place, food was good with lot of options. Some of the staff were friendly. Resort has lot of amenities for all ages. Cons- No Valet Parking Didn’t have a lot of festival decoration unlike nearby RIU or Iberostar Big resort which requires lot of walking Shuttle service is ok but should be more frequent. Sometimes you have to wait for 10-15 min and some people may not be able to board as the queue gets long during meal times. No food and drinks served to you at your chair, cabana which means if you are on the beach and finish your drinks, you have to walk good 50-100 meters depending on where you are to get a drink. They have an adult only section near the beach which means families can’t really have oceanview rooms or atleast thats what we were told. Plus the adult bar refused to serve us drinks on a hot day saying its for select club members even though there was noone behind us waiting. Imagine that first you don’t serve drinks to where people are sitting, then someone walks and you refuse to serve, all on a hot day. That was a big turn off for us.

Be careful when booking, you need a black band or we would look somewhere else to stay. Its hard to tell what exactly you are allowed to order or do without a black band. We tried to order a Shirley Temple for our daughter, but that was a black band drink. . We stayed four nights and were only able to get one reservation for dinner. The buffet staff was not helpful and we ended up pouring our own water several meals.

This resort was okay…not worth the price. The staff was not the friendliest or the most accommodating considering we had a broken phone so couldn’t ask for services and notified them but got nowhere…asked for more pillows and towels and also got ignored. The bar lines were so long due to one out of three or four being open. There was an app to make dinner reservations that we weren’t told about and then learned from a guest so missed that opportunity considering they were already booked up. Overall, I’d give this hotel a 2.7 out of 5.

The best recommendation I can provide is having someone explain all the amenities the resort has. No one told us anything nor tried.. when we tried to reserve one of the restaurants everything was packed. The swimming pool is only opened until 630. A todos but disappointed. The buffet was decent and good..
