Warm welcome, but disappointment followed
Business trip for one night stay. Warm welcome received, but found room to be in need of refurbishment, the bed was uncomfortable, the TV small and dated, and signal keeps failing. Cups needed a wash and spoons still had stains on, towels didn’t all look fresh

Exceptional 10.0
Pleasant stay, welcoming
Enjoyable business stay, super location and well run hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's the second time I have stayed there. Food was good, with a range of popular choices, and the wines and beers are good. Such a pleasant location, where you can wander along the river and watch the birdlife, and it's quiet at night. One thing that I am passionate about is the matter of CSE (child sexual exploitation) that is so common in hotels. I was very pleased to be told that this hotel is extremely vigilant about such matters.

Lovely place
A wonderful hotel with a nice Italian restaurant

Poor 2.0
AVOID
Waited ages for check in. The man who checked me in was very rude. The door to my room was very difficult to open. The TV and separate freeview box had to be operated using two separate remotes in a specific order and you had to move the channels by going into the guide button (and that's after making a number of attempts to get the buttons to work on the remote). When you use the toilet, your knees hit the radiator. It's a mission to get the shower cubicle open. For breakfast, if you want a cup of coffee you have to keep pumping this button that is very uncomfortable and time consuming. The mattress was comfy but the duvet was very thin so I was cold. The hotel is noisy and so I did not get a good nights sleep so went into work very tired. And Wi Fi was non existent.
