Great Hotel!
On the outside it looks small and kind of cheap looking but on the inside it's not what you would expect it to be. It's a very different kind of hotel so stay at. The rooms were kind of small but clean. The ambiance of the whole place was different but very cool and very lively especially by the pool area where a lot of people came from even outside of the hotel to dine and just hang out for cocktails. The food was delicious and they offered a variety of different drinks which were pretty good. We were so glad we found this place and would definitely come back to stay here again for the neat experience of this hotel. Overall it was a great stay!

Older and small but okay.
Hotel is old but has had some remodeling. The rooms have been somewhat updated with platform beds and decor. Rooms are small but comfortable. Bathroom definitely shows its age but was decent size and the shower pressure was great. I was glad I brought my hair dryer as there wasn't one in the room. Also, no coffee maker but they serve free coffee in the lobby. It was pricey for what you get, but it is San Diego and the summertime. They appear to have spent most of the remodeling money on the restaurant and bar which I didn't use but heard good things about the food. There are a lot of restaurants in the area in walking distance (mexican, italian, thai, pub, etc) The property is located on a very busy street so there is traffic noise as well as noise from the restauarant and bar. I had ear plugs and turned on the fan which helped.

Nice place for a drink and Dinner but not to stay!
Rooms are old and the bed was a very low to the floor platform bed, and not very comfortable. There were no available outlets near to the bed. Dirty worn carpet and an iffy tub. But it was Quaint! We had a fish named Rambo in our room (Although considering he was in a fishbowl that lit up when we turned the lights on I don't think he enjoyed it much!) The small bar and Restaurant were fabulous but the rooms not so much.

Just go here.
Love this hotel, restaurant and bar. It’s loads of fun and the rooms, staff, and area have lots to offer. However, if you have an early morning meeting or flight you might stay up late enjoying the ambience and cocktail causing you to question your choices.
