DON'T STAY HERE!!!
It was horrendous. Room nice enough but the shower too disgusting to use. Hotels/B&Bs always fall down on bathrooms! Why? The mattress was soft and lumpy and needs replacing. 1.08am was woken up by a couple coming back to their room on the corner of passage next door. I thought they'd eventually go to sleep after showering, talking and bouncing on their very creaky bed! No such luck there were comings and goings through the night. Around 2am I turned on the bathroom light and closed the door hoping the extractor fan would block the noise in the passage and room next door. I turned on TV at 2.30am. There were girls chatting and laughing in the corridor and occasionally mens voices and next door opening and closing all through the night so I can only guess what was going on. I dozed eventually at about 6am and was up at 7.30am to get my train to Hereford for an appointment. In my rush to leave I forgot to take photos of the filthy shower. I should get a full refund for the night stay and considering lodging a complaint with Resolver.

Thank you Night Lodge
When I booked Night Lodge I was a little apprehensive based on some pretty less than positive reviews. I could not have been more wrong. The owner could not have done more to make my stay more comfortable. The room was lovely and warm when I got back from a very wet and cold Cardiff which just the 'icing on the cake' after the afternoons victory. When I arrived back home I checked some of the poor reviews as I could not believe I had stayed at the same place. The fact is that many of these reviews dated back a couple of years, so if in fact they were correct at the time of writing very significant improvements have been made since that time. My room was quite small but for single occupancy had all I required. I would certainly stay here again.

Poor 2.0
Awful old fashioned unclean place.
Run down property with poor decor. Room was L shape with very little room to move. No wardrobe just hanging rail. Above rail a shelf to put your other clothes on. It was filthy and had previous guests paperwork on it. Bathroom was OK ish. But shower was cold until heated and then red hot or very cold as the regulator was not working only on 2 settings. The door to the shower fell off as I tried to open it. The carpet was heavily stained and grubby. The bed was absolutely awful too. The room was illuminated by 2 lights only one worked. But at night the room was partially illuminated by emergency exit light within room. If I had not booked in so late and prepaid I would not have stayed, I would have left immediately. Its a bit of a rabbit Warren rooms everywhere with paper thin walls. I could hear the guest next door breathing. The only one good thing was ample car parking. Definitely won't be staying again. AVOID THIS PLACE IT'S AWFUL!!!!

Poor 2.0
Hotel and room smelled, worn and tired carpets, emergency light on all night so constant green glow, small room, overpriced for what you get, staircase narrow, wardrobe badly built, shower doors badly fitted. Photos on website very misleading, nothing like what we had. Won't go back, would not recommended if charging more than £50 per night for a double.
