Location very central, security seemed good which was reassuring. Great food in Thai Restraunt. Hotel was noisy, both inside and out. Noise form rooms above. Facing grounds with regular concerts playing music until midnight, 3 nights in a row. Guess this might have been different if at rear of hotel. Saturday night noise from a night club until 4am. Service from room service little disappointing. Ordered ice bucket, forgot, reminded and never came. Staff on desk a lobby helpful. Breakfast Restraunt too small for hotel. Difficult to get seat some morning but staff attentive.

Enjoying Colombo
The hotel is next to a calming lake, a short walk from Galle seafront and Pettah market. We were lucky enough to book into the executive 7th floor, giving access to the lounge, some free laundry, a daily head or foot massage and a decent bottle of wine. It was quite floor and we were well looked after. Generally used tuk tuks for the shorter journeys with interesting memorable but scary rides. Slight disappointment was the service (10%) and goverment (20%) taxes on all food and drinks but seevuce was good. Ending with a very reasonable UBER to the airport which was considerably cheaper than local and hotel taxi service. A very good pool provided a luxury finish to our holiday.

We stayed here the first night of our trip. We arranged with the hotel for a transfer from the airport which was really handy. The staff were all very helpful, and the room was spacious, quiet and dark - just what we needed after a long flight. The pool and grounds were nice too, with the pool staying open quite late. We ate at one of the four onsite restaurants, Long Feng, which was good - but we way over ordered so beware. All in all a good stay, handy location for us for the getting the train the next day too.

We were here for NYE and the evening was fantastic, we travel a lot but I’ve never seen such an a amazing buffet. The rooms are ok but need refurbished and not as good as the Cinnamon Grand. Lovely pool and gardens and the staff are excellent.
