Disappointing
Perhaps I should have read more reviews, but this was not the stay we hoped for. This is really more like a VRBO than a hotel. There is no lobby to the building, which is not something I knew going in. We pulled up to the address and I could not find a way in. I called the "front desk" which is really in a totally different hotel a couple blocks away. With construction blocking the two buildings, you have to drive up and over several blocks to check in at that hotel and drive back to this place to your room. The room is exactly as described. A good space for our family of four. However, when we pulled out the sofa bed to put sheets on, there was already a fitted sheet on there, which had several dark red stains. Kids were a little grossed out, but we covered it with the other sheets provided. We could not get the TV in the main room to work and the TV in the bedroom required you to unplug and replug some components in order to get it turned on. The saving grace was the location. It's right on the Riverwalk, across from the battleship, and just a block of all the restaurants and shops. The front desk help at Hotel Ballast was extremely friendly. Wish I could have stayed there. It appears as if because of some corporate arrangements, they are required to look after the Riverview Suites as well and the arrangement is awkward to say the least. The site feels neglected in favor of Hotel Ballast. They should remove the building from Hotel sites and just use VRBO, etc.

Great River View
Wonderful view of the river and convenient to everything downtown. Needs better lightening and outlets. Otherwise lovely...

Seen better days
The Unit was dirty. They have not cleaned under the couch in weeks. Bedroom carpet had stains. Bed spread had seen better days. Holes in blanket. They swept around kitchen rug instead moving to sweep floor. View was excellent

Disappointing
Room was dated, lamps broken. The bathroom door locked us out automatically (clearly this has happened many times as the door jamb had gauge marks in it from people trying to break into their own bathroom). That was not fun in the middle of the night when we needed to use the bathroom promptly. The front door screeched each time it was opened. Parking was 2 blocks away, and cost $12 per night. Worst of all, we booked the property for the river view and our room was directly in front of the Coast Guard ship, so we had no view at all.

Very Good8.0
The place was nice with a beautiful view of the river, ships and a great sunset. Check-in was at the Hilton down the road from the Riverview Suites. Parking was $12 at the Hilton, but since someone checking in at the same time as I, said I could park next to the Riverview Suites, I got a $35 parking ticket. The TV in the living room did not work.
