Great service, small rooms, dangerous stairs
Hotel V is in a good location with trams nearby. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast. However DON'T stay there if you have mobility problems as the stairs are dangerous and everything is painted black. Rooms are very small, a lot more cramped than shown in the photos.

Nice hotel
Hotel stay was fine! Hotel room was small but was fine for our purpose! Checking in was quick but also not very secure as did not need to show any form of ID etc. Extremely close to train station and public transport if you do not want to walk to sightseeing points

Excellent 'loft' room, good size for the familly and well equipped. One of the quietest air-conditioning units I've experienced in a hotel room. Direct tram (4) from the station to the hotel.

Dam good hotel
The day we left had Amsterdam had a city wide power cut, I felt really sorry for the young guy on reception who had to deal with “guests” who just couldn’t understand it was more than the hotel who had a power cut, He was excellent in dealing with it though. The area is great with loads of great places to eat and drink, The market is really good. The tram is just outside the hotel and seems like there’s one every few minutes. Size of the room was quite small but it’s a really old building so they do the best they can with it. Bathroom is great but on the small side.

Some of the faults
We booked a double room but were given a twin. the bathroom was very small and was very hard to move around in. The space was very limited in the room due to the slope in the ceiling as it was in the loft.
