Very Romantic
Bjorn and Nela were excellent with guest services. Bjorn offered and carried up my large suitcase. We were also given 2 complimentary beverages for our honeymoon suite. It is a tight space but we loved the quaintness and charm of room 402 (canal view) that we were given for our honeymoon. The welcome chocolate and swans on our bed with petals scattered and balloons. Very sweet. We love Amsterdam. My first visit. My husbands second visit. He loved running along the canals in the morning. The breakfast was sufficient. We requested to bring fresh coffee to our rooms before breakfast (pre-run bevy) and Nela was so nice to let us do so. The central location was ideal. Only a short east 15 min. We all with luggage was perfect. No need for a taxi. The only challenge for returning would be my age. My husband is 59 and in great shape. I’m is also in excellent shape from all the hiking we do. Not sure if I could do this in 10 years. The stairs up your room were quite steep. As many Amsterdam domiciles are. If you have mobility issues, you may want to request a room on a lower level. I think there are some. Overall… loved the artistic and quirky ambience of this hotel.

Room 003: like Harry Potters room under the stairs
From the outside and entrance the hotel looks hip and has all of the basics you need for a short stay however because I was only staying one night the person who checked me in said I was going to be staying in room 003 which is facing the lobby next to the kitchen and is located under the stairs to the rest of the hotel. The room was extremely noisy and hard to get any sleep because anytime someone used the stairs, or made noise in the lobby or kitchen area you heard it. It was by far my worst experience in a hotel room purely based on the lack of comfort. I will never stay at this hotel again.
