More staff is required! Unable to use room service
We stayed at Jurys Inn this weekend and the hotel is perfect for a short break away or just a relaxing night away! The hotel is clean and is very comfortable! However I wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel if you want to be catered and cared for by staff as I opened an account to be allowed to have access to room service which I was unable to use due to the bar or restaurant not answering the phone. I also tried to call the reception where I was also unable to get through! I feel like more staff is needed at this hotel to provide a better service as it could be dangerous in an emergency if they are not answering phones. But if you’re not really fussed about having room service or a good service from staff then this hotel is absolutely perfect for a break away in Liverpool as the location is excellent.

Very good 8.0
Good Location, Nice Hotel.
Hotel is situated right on the dockside next to 'the wheel'. Great for seeing all the sightsa and most of the tours and the hop on hop off bus stop just outside. It's a short metro ride from James St into the city and/or Lime Street station or you can walk up through the shopping centre. Hotel staff were friendly and our room was comfortable We had pre-ordered breakfast but they do an offer which is £10 per person per night. Personally I thought the breakfast had gone downhill from the last time we stayed. There were no waiting staff so you are up and down the whole time fetching ..... well everything! There were no cornflakes or weetabix only museli and branflakes. The coffee was so strong it was undrinkable for me. The orange juice was either very cheap or clearly watered down. However there was a healthy and gluten free choice and elements of a cooked breakfast that you can choose from. I guess at £10 it was adequate, but that's the bit of the stay I look forward to the most and it was a tad disappointing. I would stay again but next time I would go out for breakfast.

Surprisingly very poor
Hotel is not good. On the surface it looks fine but it seems understaffed and it’s dirty in places. There is no water provided in the rooms. There is no safe provided in the rooms. When I asked for water they said I can buy it at £2.90 per 500ml or use the tap water. I just thought this was not good service as the hotel room was not cheap, in fact it was expensive. The bathroom in the room was poor. The shower dribbled out and the sink took at least 5 minutes to drain. The hotel reception area/restaurant area/bar are were OK but seemed chaotic. The reception staff were a mixture of pleasant and some rude, especially when I voice my opinion that water should be provided in the room, at least for family with children. The location is great and I’ve stayed in neighbouring hotels in the past that I enjoyed very much. I will not book this one again.

Very good 8.0
Overall good
Over all stay was good. The condition of the public areas was good. The service was great. Very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good. Although some arrows to direct people round the buffet in one direction would be good. The decor of the room was good. However certain aspects were tired. The paintwork next to the bed were stained from what I assume we're spilled coffees. The bedside table was sticky and had not been cleaned. The shower curtain smelled stale. Furniture was in very good condition with ample storage. Bed comfortable and the air con was fantastic. Very welcome during the hottest days on record. We chose the hotel based on location and we chose well. The docks and surrounding area are where it's at. We had the best steak dinner we've ever had at Miller and Carter just 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

Exceptional 10.0
Great Dockside Location
Straightforward to find the hotel using SatNav. Smooth check-in - although we arrived earlier than the 2pm check-in the room was available which was great. Great reception team, who were very friendly and informative. Parking was a small distance away due to a fire (a few months ago) in the preferred car park. Once re-opened, parking will be in a closer proximity to the hotel. That said, a drop off area is available for 15 mins which is plenty of time to check in and drop off bags etc. Hotel was clean, bright and cool. We, unwittingly, chose a busy weekend for our stay in Liverpool as the round the world yacht race was completed in the nearby Albert Docks on Saturday, the same day as the Pride parade. That said, the weekend had a great atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast which set us up for the day. A buffet style, with anything you could wish for from continental to full english; with juices, smoothies and hot drinks available. Breakfast items were constantly re-stocked so nothing ran out. With the hotel being so busy, there was a delay on the breakfast tables being cleared, but we have no doubt the team were working as quickly as they could.
