Donovan Hotel

No ice machine. Had to call room service for ice or go across the street to CVS. Pillows uncomfortable & not enough towels.

I love the Donovan! Awesome hotel. I hate having to pay an amenities fee on top of the cost of a room when I didn’t use any of the facilities included, but that seems to be becoming standard practice.

They charge a resort fee for nothing... that hotel it is most a sleep breakfast and go. There is no restaurant bar nothing... the bedroom was ok clean big but nothing crazy it is in a good location. If i have to go back to Washington i will not stay there... lobby and the restaurant and social areas are nothing like the pictures

Check-in was easy, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. While it’s an upscale hotel in a nice side of town, there wasn’t much more to the property or room other than the basics (for the cost at least). The rooftop bar was closed since it’s Oct. off-season (despite weather being perfect for it), the mini fridge didn’t work, and the description online claimed to offer things like bathrobes (not the case). I splurged a bit with this hotel but I’ll probably go elsewhere for less money (and likely the same results) next time.

Great staff service, and the room was comfortable, but there were a number of things that seemed off given the room price. For example, the shower head was put in so that even when you aim it directly at the wall, it still pours out onto the floor of the bathroom. That design flaw was exacerbated by the fact that the lip of the shower was broken. The first morning, I ended up with a layer of water all over the bathroom floor! Another drawback was a lack of plugs and lights - the room is very sexy and low light is great for that, but it's difficult to get the room bright enough to do a little work in. Still, I'd stay here again, especially because the staff was top notch!
