Great location but stay spoiled by errors
Poor from the start. Confirmed pick-up from the airport did not arrive, had to phone concierge who arranged a replacement. Ate in the hotel restaurant and food was so over spiced we could not taste the lobster but incredibly the staff started setting the tables all around us for breakfast whilst we were still eating our main course yet it was only 8;45pm. I know people don't eat late in the US but really!. In addition unlike most hotels they do not offer a buffet breakfast option Then despite having paid in advance for the accommodation I had to spend 45mins persuading checkout staff that I didn't have to pay again. That being said the staff were prompt to sort out the errors, its just a pity they happened in the first place. The location is brilliant and the hotel could be a really good place to stay if the errors didn't happen.

Disappointing for the price
For the price you pay I'd expect more to be honest. There were stains on the walls of my room, the shower leaked, there appears to be very little soundproofing from outside (I was on the 11th of 12 floors and the noise from the road meant I needed earplugs to sleep - plus the fire station exactly opposite meant sirens from fire engines going at all hours of the day and night), the wifi is pretty terrible. There are obviously the positives you expect from the IC such as a very comfortable bed, friendly staff, spacious rooms etc. But for the price you pay, I was disappointed overall.

A warm welcome
Not easy to make a big hotel welcoming. However the staff did exactly that across the many departments of the hotel. Excellent room staff, reception, IHG member staff, restaurant and bar. Regret not having a better view but the work got done and the stay was made excellent by the staff.
